Hmm, I usually don't like fighting, but Suleiman was pretty nice for naval fights. Russia is awesome if you get a good spot (extra production + faster border growth), Ethiopia gets a speedy religion etc. There are so many nice and interesting choices, really. Babylon can build an academy when researching writing (!), Mayas get science from temples, Montezuma gets extra culture from killing and so on. So maybe I really don't have a definite favourite, because most civs have some kind of an interesting feature / twist on the gameplay. There are a few that are pretty crappy, though.

So do you have a favourite civ yet? Seems that some have quite strong bonuses, while others do not...

Well, with the Swedes we were just another part of their country, and the only official language was Swedish spoken by the elite. Russia, however, gave us autonomy as a Grand Duchy and so Finnish was eventually made the second official language as well. With the Russian revolution, we got independence in 1917.

Bunkers? I think they're mostly in the eastern part of the country, built around WWII.

Yeah, the hakkapeliittas are Finnish, and at least in some scenario there is also the city-state of Helsinki.

What comes to the Swedes...I don't think I'm gonna play as them. I really don't know much about Swedish history anyway, more about the Russian one. It's a bit weird situation as both of these countries used to own Finland, so neither is seen in a rather good light. Swedes used to be the "elite" class in here as well, so they're still seen as a bit snobby and arrogant. As for the Russians, well just ask the rest of Eastern Europe and you know why everyone is wary.

So you got Civ V and the expansion I see. Digging them?
