Surprisingly good story with simple gameplay mechanics. The visual styles are beautiful. I enjoyed the contrasting style when the supernatural takes over.

D&D through and through, with more important decisions in the first Act than some RPGs have in the whole game.
Edit after finishing game: One of the best RPGs of all time. Never had a game that made every decision feel so important and had every decision actually matter. Also, Dark Urge run is *chef kiss*.

A simple, but solid game. I appreciate a Lovecraftian game that doesn't try forcing the horror styling of the genre. Good existential dread through to the end.

Rogue-lite and base builder merged with Happy Tree Friends vibes in a neat, fun to play package. Really big bonus of the game is, even if you get all the unlocks, you still reap tangible rewards from the base part of game.

Using the Steam Index Controllers.
For an infinite runner, I don't get why you can stop and go in reverse. This got in the way if you use the hand position controlling, as my speed ends up feeling random based on how the game interprets my hand positioning. Left - right controls feel good using the "motorcycle handle" motions. Holding the triggers to move seemed unnecessary.

Jumping was really tricky for a dodging/parkour game. Having to throw my arms down, then up, while releasing the triggers was more requirements than I'd like. My jumping ending up erratic putting the motions together.

Just send me flying forward and let me react to obstacles. I liked the idea of the wall-running and wall-jumping. If the other motion controls could be tightened up, I think wall actions would work better and make the run feel more exciting.

Earlier part of the game could use more contrast. Coins and the blades were both yellow, so it's just a lot of bright yellow objects coming at you. The game is very bright and colorful, so more of a color palette at any one time. Personally I'd tone down the floor coloring so the rest of the environment stood out more.

Overall, looks promising with some heavy tweaks to the controls. Felt like there were 3 ways to move forward and it got confusing which was working better.

And, volume controls please.
