I played 100 hours in the first week. I think that's plenty to prove how much I love this game. But I could be biased, so I'll talk about the pros and cons to convince you to buy this amazingly fun and challenging time sink.

Pros:
-Fair, player and NPC characters are treated the exact same.
-Reactive, the world changes based on the characters actions, large and small.
-Role play, you can do anything (including being a slave)
-Job system, you can set up automated tasks for your group to do, so no need to micromanage heals or crafting.
-Strategy. The amount of people in a fight matters. There is only so much a character with high combat stats to do alone, especially once they can't do anything due to being unconscious. Also the way you approach a group fight will decide how it plays out. Aggro matters a lot. Oh you can also pause and speed up time, which helps with planning out actions.
-Base building. You can build bases and have farms to provide food and smithy's to provide gear, but you will be attacked by bandits and may also be attacked by the factions who's land you're on if you handle them incorrectly.

Cons:
-Navmesh and roads are really messed up. A lot of times the navmesh is running right through obstacles, so you have to move them around it before opening the map to send them to their destination again. And instead of running to the correct location, they will run in circles for some reason (sometimes).
-The job system also has some problems. Characters will freeze in the middle of a job and you have to move them before they will go back to what they should be doing. But I feel like this is more of a bug, so take it with a grain of salt.
-I ran into problems with base wall walkways having invisible walls.
-Putting down bodies you're carrying sometimes make them fly 50 meters into the air.

In the end I think Kenshi is a game best played through struggle. It is a very gritty, realistic, and down to earth game. Getting ganked and captured by slavers was actually more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Don't reload saves and just focus on enjoying the game.
