A competitive arena shooter with some fun load-outs and destructible environments. No need to set aside an afternoon, it's good for just dropping in to play a 15 minute game whenever you feel like it.

A rushed release for a much-antipated sequel to one of the greatest games of all time.

The above-ground portions seemed tacked on, reusing many underwater assets that don't work as well with out-of-water physics, sometimes causing snags in the landscape you could get caught on. These areas were also poorly optimized and there won't be a VR version.

That said, I had nearly as much fun playing this as I did the original. Sure, it was mostly more of the same, but the original was such a great game that I'm not complaining about getting more of it.

Lots of potential. I can't wait to be eaten by a bear.

Tropico 6 brings back a lot of what made people fall in love with Tropico 4, and builds it on the foundation of some of the new mechanics introduced by Tropico 5, while walking back some features that were better the previous time around, as well as adding several brand new features to the series like monuments, water travel, bridges and more. It's the best of both worlds with a little bit extra thrown in.

The classic theme park builder look and feel, where the core gameplay doesn't take a backseat to the decoration aspect, but with all the new features of modern theme park builders like heavy customization and workshop support. Parkitect hits the sweet spot.

A grind-free survival game that's actually about survival. No amassing vaults full of items, no base-building, it's just you versus the cold. There are a limited amount of supplies, limited visibility, and limited survival time outside of shelter.

Best played with all the lights out, headphones on, and on the hardest setting.

If I had not played it through on the hardest setting the very first time I wouldn't have had the same experience. Playing on Condition 1 is a must for the full experience. Lower levels make it more like a walking simulator, so save that for after you've done your Condition 1 run if you just want to explore, or you will spoil the game. It's all about the struggle to find things and not knowing how much of what is out there or where to find it and doing it on the fly.

No option to invert Y-axis and does not work with Polynomial or Sakasa.

A couple years ago the developer promised an update to remedy this and it never happened.

One of the most memorable games I've ever played. Jump scares aside, the fluctuating mood and atmosphere gives me chills.

Best played with all the lights out and headphones on. Set aside three or four hours and play it beginning to end.
