For the record, I was one of the people that started with Like A Dragon (Yakuza 7). I did not start with the original Yakuza series. The best part is that you don't need to. The game does pretty good job at both providing background for Kiryu's character even if you're unfamiliar with the series. The game mechanics, story, humor, and lovable Kasuga Ichiban makes for an excellent new addition. There is so much improvement in the battle system from Like A Dragon, and it feels that something that was already so good has been innovated upon strongly.

In both LAD and LADIW, the game does an excellent job at inviting you to its world. It's not forcing you to do substories, nor is it really even asking you to. You just see the map, see a little dialogue box, and you get curious. You want to know what kind of fun story the writers have left in either Yokohama or Hawaii, aside from the main story.

I have had an incredible time with these games and will gladly purchase the next installment. No doubt.

I love JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and I love what CC2 and Bandai Namco have accomplished here. Both in regard to the remake of the game All Star Battle, and the original game for the PS3. Unfortunately, they've missed the mark in terms of modern fighting games' online play. The netcode is atrocious. The game itself is beautiful, the graphics look great, and the experience is fun. But when the online play is as unplayable as it is, I just can't recommend playing the game. Maybe in due time they'll announce some sort of netcode changes, but until then, I somewhat regret my purchase.

I've had a complicated relationship with Persona 5 Strikers.

Years ago, when Joker was announced for Nintendo's Smash Ultimate, I had no idea just what I was getting into. The art style, the voices, the designs - I fell in love quickly. Upon playing Joker in Smash, I eventually bought Persona 5, and then Persona 5 Royal, and then I bought this.

Initially, I was so into it. The fast-paced Koei Tecmo ARPG combat was thrilling, with the banger arrangement of remade battle themes from Persona 5. The return to where I spent easily over 300 hours between Persona 5 and 5R, and meeting the cast again.

At some point, I believe around the middle of the game, I found myself starting to dislike it. To the extent that I actually had to set a motivator for myself to finish it. I made a bet with my coworker that I would give him $100 if he finishes the re-release of P5R on PC before I finish Strikers. That's how sluggish I was, pacing-wise. After returning to the game, I found that I was just under-leveled, and maybe had the difficulty too high. I'm not really experienced with these ARPGs.

There are some segments that are a bore compared to the fast-paced gameplay in the first palace. I didn't like the segments where I had to blindly walk around open areas and talk to NPCs to hear generic dialogue about what's going on, just to progress the story. This being said, those segments are brief, and the rest of the game forward makes that part of the game worth playing through.

If you've played Persona 5 or 5R like I have, you'll definitely want to play this game. Maybe it won't be your style of gameplay, and maybe it'll take you a while. I don't regret my 43 hours with this game. You won't either.

I personally have never reached what is considered the 'soft cap' in an MMO before, and have tried WoW, FFXIV, and ESO. None of them really caught me like Lost Ark has.

If you liked Assassin's Creed: Origins, you'll like Odyssey too. The setting is different with a new array of in-game mechanics while also preserving the fresh new feel/look that came with AC: Origins.

If you didn't like the old Assassin's Creed games, you might like this one. Many avid fans of AC have exclaimed their disappointment with the newer titles, and how it's basically "not even Assassin's Creed anymore". So give it a shot.

Assassin's Creed Origins is different than other Assassin's Creed games, as it feels more fluid and less along the same storyline that's repeated every time. I felt a connection with a compelling emotional story with importance. Exploring Egypt's unique culture was so fun.

To put it simply, I really liked Superhot and it had more of a narrative than I thought it would. It's very worth the money if you end up late to the Twitch Prime party. The mechanics are great and the entire concept is actually amazing. More than impressed. Highly recommend.
