I used to be a Bloons TD 5 fan on mobile back in the day. I was initially sceptical of playing TD 6, that too no longer on my phone. I then got put off by its change to 3D, okay-ish voice acting/dialogues and more in-app purchases. I now see why it's so good, even better than TD 5. My gameplay hours speak for it.

I looked past all that because it's normal in popular mobile games. Some of those aren't even the selling points of the game. I don't need to say what makes it great because I'm sure other reviews do it better.

If you're a fan of classic AOE3, get it. It's no way a Definitive Edition like in the scale for AOE2's, but it's good.

(Steam Deck note: The custom controller layout set is not too bad and makes it quite playable. I do think ranged characters and spells are difficult. Other than that it is a good experience playing on the Console.)

I'm certain many of you wanted to play this because you liked an old classic. Let's just call it Olbaib 2. I must say how close this game tries to be like it while on the surface still look different enough. It has everything yet still doesn't match up. I almost feel bad that it doesn't. It isn't even the game's fault. That's why I recommend it...it's still worth getting into. Who knows, you might like it better than me. For something that was released more than ten years ago, this has aged well too.

I've been playing this on and off for nearly a decade and still haven't had the complete interest to complete it. Only recently I reached the final quest and once again, I find myself bored of it. It's a good game but nothing can beat Olbaib 2.

The main game feels incomplete without these two DLCs. While this is wedged between the main quest and "Blood And Wine" and has less content, by no means it should be disregarded. Its own story is equally compelling.

The game feels incomplete without both of these DLCs. Just CD Projekt RED flexing their writing skills with another gripping plot and some more gameplay elements. It's a beautifully made region which feels like a shorter (relatively speaking) sequel—a nice place to conclude Geralt's Witchering career.

The good points of the game are probably highlighted in a much better way in gazillion other reviews. Here are a few different points I feel I can write on.

Works smoothly on the Steam Deck. I recall using the default graphic settings it auto-detected for my console.

If you're a veteran RPG player and tend to go for higher difficulties:
  • Use the option "enemy upscale". It keeps the combat challenging throughout and consistent. No more silly one-shoting or overkilling (see what I did there) under-levelled enemies which makes combat and some quests too trivial to complete. More RPGs should have this option imo.
  • You won't get the extra "passed the main storyline" achievement for that difficulty if you change it during your playthrough. I know that's obvious but this is even if you did it barely a few minutes into your playthrough. You'll then realise only when it's too late i.e. 60+ hours into the game on the final quest. Restart the storyline early on if you really want that achievement.

Ere We Go, 'Ere We Go, 'Ere We Go!

Pros:
  • Gameplay 7/10 - Just like their previous game "Guns, Gore & Cannoli" but replace it with all the Orky stuff. The standard difficulty is good: not too hard, not too easy.
  • Story 10/10 - Funny and a good Orky story.
  • Visuals/Music 10/10 - Possibly the unexpected highlight of the game. The ending credits song I still listen to on my phone. Orky metal genre should be a thing!
  • Special - For any 40K fan, the experience of being pitted against the various factions, especially the Space Marines at one point, is something to look forward to.
Cons:
  • Slightly short, passed the game in < 7 hrs.

TLDR: Buy it ya git! WAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!

I doubt I can say anything new about this game. Other people here already probably did a better job than me.

I love how this game made the roguelike genre mainstream. I got a few of my non-gamer friends to also try it out on my console and they loved it. Thank you Supergiant Games for this.

Anyway, my first perfect game in Steam!

Looks like a watered-down simple roguelike game, breaking down the basic elements to get you hooked on it. It's so pathetic. I rather be playing something else. Just ummm give me some more time with it.

I review more often now ever since I read "What developers think of Steam reviews" (rockpapershotgun.com). Also, negativity bias. I realised I forgot to review this and last played it almost a year ago. Way overdue.

Let me begin by saying who this game isn't for. It's less about visuals and more text-focused, despite it having (relatively) decent graphics compared to its peers. Then there's its difficulty and experimental approach to non-combat characters. I saw some people complain, somewhat understandably, that certain character builds are extremely frustrating to use.

So if either of these issues is going to be a problem for you, then I don't recommend this game. Now that we're done with that part, onto what I loved about this game!

Let me begin by saying this is the only game I've replayed till date and not just once, but thrice, the last two being complete play-throughs. I'm not someone who generally ends up replaying linear storyline RPGs. The diverse endings and story-archs coupled with its polar opposite, albeit experimental imo, playstyles made me curious enough to end up doing this. A good amount of my gameplay time was just quick-loading trial and error though.

The world setup, lore and story are just great. Enough intrigue to keep you wondering as you discover more about it. The story moves on if you choose to move to another city prematurely, main/side quests close. Just one of the things I've not seen in any RPG before.

Gameplay. Combat here is realistic and they keep warning you that it's brutal. You'll never be that usual hero leaving piles of bodies in your wake. Combat against a single person is fine. Two or three people barely pushing it, even at "max" level--certain death regardless of how awesome your "legendary" warrior character is with their gear. As they keep saying, realistic.

Then there are the non-combat character builds that I mentioned earlier. All I can say is you can actually pass this game without killing a single person directly with proper choices and the use of non-combat skills.

Character death is normal! I accepted it, my first run ended up with my character dying roughly during the mid-game but unlocking an achievement just ~8% of the people got. What a way to go! I didn't bother loading the previous save where I could have saved myself with another choice.

PS: The sarcastic messages in the skill tree I'll never forget. Darn hilarious.
