SCUM is close to my ideal game. Open world survival/PvP with base building, but tuned in such a way that you can play it relatively casually and not need to be on call 24/7 to defend your base. They've made some bold and innovative design decisions that move the genre forward. Warning, it is an indie title and frustrating bugs are present. Youtube is a must to learn how to play.
