I'm not big on idle games, I just wanted to see if I could 100% it quickly, turns out I can't so now I just have to keep logging in the hours until it's finished. It's fun enough but much more limited than I thought it would be considering the age of the game at this point.

Certainly a step up from COH1, I remember only playing the first for a very short period of time before throwing in the towel, I decided to pick this one up during the sale just to try and scratch the itch of the genre and give the series another go. I feel like the tutorial and opening missions are much more forgiving than it's predecessor and even though the intro to the campaign is essentially a losing simulator it's kind of a smart idea to prepare the player for defeat and emphasize strategy.

The graphics are nicer than I thought they'd be, and even though I went and watched a tutorial or two, the majority of the mechanics and menus in the game were pretty easy to navigate.

I definitely think I'll pick up the DLC once another sale hits, I avoid multiplayer in RTS games so I can't speak on that although it's pretty toxic from what I've read. Plenty of achievements to go hunting for which is nice, and I haven't touched on the story because it's pretty average and I didn't really retain much of what I've already seen so I can't really judge.

I personally prefer Tropico 4, with all the DLC, I feel like it's a better experience, but Tropico 5 is certainly still a really good installation in the series.

+Looks pretty
+More building options compared to 4
+More variety in missions
+Classic Tropico experience

-Too militant focused, although tbf if you just purchase a bunch of guard posts and upgrade your personal guard you're pretty safe from uprisings
-Mandates and elections are more difficult to win fairly with very few options that will affect happiness in a pinch
-Even with disasters set to low, they happen so frequently it's such a waste of time to constantly rebuild
-I think they really poured a lot of time and energy into new elements like Dynasties, alliances, etc, which was also a huge waste of time, and was nothing I ever saw the community ask for, it felt like they were going for RPG elements, and trying to force that into a city-builder, and it really falls flat.

I would definitely pick it up on sale, hunt for some achievements, build a couple nice islands, just don't expect too much.

I honestly try my hardest to not leave bad reviews for most games, because I appreciate the hard work and artistry that goes into the bodies of works that video games are. There are so many things not right here however, that I didn't enjoy a single moment I'm sad to say. There are other customers here who have been able to find positives that I don't agree with or can't appreciate in the face of the things I don't like, but it could be true that there is something here for you.

The opening scene in the prison is littered with nonsensical dialogue and indicates from the very start a lack of creative direction, I could hardly follow a word the characters were saying not only because the script is whacky, but the voice actors obviously had absolutely zero experience and no effort was seemingly made to try and get voices that matched the aesthetic and look of the characters they were portraying.

The combat is essentially the same as Fable, if the level of depth stopped right at the training ring during the dummy trials, there was again no attempt to make something unique or correlate with the material it was surrounded by.

There are many areas in the game where it looks like you can walk through a gap in pipes or crates or what not, just as a way to get from point A to B more quickly, or just because you'd like to move around however you'd like, but than you find each time that your character can't fit through these areas which is a huge annoyance.

Part of resource scavenging is hunting around nooks and crannies to find something which brings a sense of reward, in this game however, because the maps are quite restricted, there is a little resource to scavenge in EVERY nook and cranny, which turns the scavenging aspect into nothing, I know where the scrap metal and what not is, it's sitting right in the same little spot nestled up against a wall or boulder, it's not a scavenge.

I don't remember the name of a single character, or NPC, or the name of any weapon or ability I used, it's the most forgettable experience of my life, there are loads of other experiences on Steam that are more well worth your time and money, and kudos to whoever found something to enjoy in this game. I could not.

I don't think I could be more impressed, I went into this thinking it was just another story in the half life universe but it really is so much more than that. This isn't just another mod, this is nearly on par with Black Mesa in terms of quality, design, and execution while also weaving perfectly into the lore of the Half Life reality. Everything that you could want makes some small appearance in one form or another. I have found a fondness for the protagonist, and his Doom guy- like lack of a filter, which is balanced really well by yet another interpretation of the sassy droid companion, and while its an overused trope, it's also perfect for this story and environment. I would have paid a good price for this game, I can't believe this team put in all this work to let us enjoy it for free. Thank you!

I didn't go into this title with any nostalgia, but I still had a great time. My play through the campaign took about 11 hours, than I played a few skirmishes. I was interested in picking up Halo Wars 2 at some point, so I figured I'd start here. The cinematics are good, the story is easy to follow, and even though the gameplay is pretty simple; overall it feels tight and is a good experience.

Even though this game is dead and broken, it's still fun to go through all the missions once or twice, just to take a look at the scenery and game world that was built. If you can find a couple randoms to go through and get the basic idea behind a L4D clone, than you should have a few good hours with it

Replaying this iconic title with all of the added content and gorgeous visuals has honestly been one of the highlights of my entire gaming life. It was so incredible to see everything so carefully crafted and replicated and improved upon perfectly. Aside from the occasional frame drops, this is quite literally a flawless experience, and should stand to remind everyone why Halo was both a narrative and multiplayer behemoth.

Even though the numbers are small nowadays, Trove was always fun, I have way more hours than what Steam is currently showing, I found it to be a relatively theraputic game similar to Minecraft obviously.

I think I played this back in 2016 or 2017, and I remember it being a pretty pleasant experience, the game world was fun and even though it was pretty barren, the characters that did pop up were unique and Tim Burton-like. The voice acting was the thing I remember hating the most. It's a good story for fans of the interactive short story genre, so wait for a discount and give it a shot.
