Excellent puzzle design. Lots of fun, new mechanics introduced. Virtually all puzzles are of the "aha" variety and not the "fiddle around" type. Environment art is great, with Unreal Engine 5 being put to good use. Story is okay for the type of game this is, but a lot of the dialogue and line delivery is overdone and cheesy. Plays with interesting ideas, and does so in most cases loosely enough to not constantly fall on its face philosophically. Secrets are a bit more formulaic and less interesting than in the first game.

Bikes with Butter, but like that one old game with all the ASCII art everyone compares everything to. Middle school you would think this game was cool.

Explore the haunting and raw spaces of the Source Engine. The Beginner's Guide reminds me of some of my dreams. It is an introspective experience that will probably be most appreciated by creators.

Lovely Planet is one of the most interesting FPS games in years. Genius design, the developers knew what they were doing. Shooting carries meaning and so does motion. The asethetic helps give a breath of fresh air and is all around pleasant. Walks the boundary of polish and handmade feel. I wanted to make something just like this, but these guys seem to have beat me to it! Give it a shot if you like FPS and want to see something new and brilliant.

Yeah, this game is approximately perfect. Legend of Grimrock 2 is currently the pinnacle of the first-person, tile-based RPG. Like those types of games? It is then necessary you buy this. And seriously, what a huge expansion on the first game; this is how a sequel is done kids.

Strata reminds me of puzzle games like Flow and Picross. Like those games, Strata has a simple, grid based ruleset whose depth comes from the many variations of the playing board. The simplicity of the game's interface helps keep the focus on what is important. No wading through unnecessary time-wasting elements searching for the game or fun play. Each little action results in relaxed musical riffs which set a peaceful tone. This, coupled with subtle animations gives proper weight to each click, making the game have a sense of physicality which grounds the player in the interaction. And Strata makes fanatastic use of color. For that reason alone, give it a shot.
