I bought it on a random occasion because a colleague and now good friend recommended it to me. I tried it once and lost interest after 1-2 days playing. After a couple of months almost immediately after the 1896 update, it catched my interest again, and I started playing solos, and I got hooked. Every Round I play, be it Bounty Hunt or Soul Survivor, I get immersed in the games atmosphere, almost to an unhealthy level where I start twitching when I just hear a distant gunshot or a branch breaking by my own foot. Gunplay feels great; every gun feels balanced and not overtuned. The Monsters are as terrifying as fun to play against (except emulators and the assassin).

For someone who came from a long EFT addiction (over 1k hours), I have to say that Hunt is by far my new favorite FPS game.
