Dude, if you still haven't played Undertale and have no idea what happens in it, what are you even doing?

It's basically just a bunch of extra regions that you teleport to and explore. Really odd choice. There's nothing in here that surprised me like the base game and Downpour did. The regions are pretty and difficult but that's it.

Imagine Dark Souls 1 but with Dark Souls 3's teleport system. It kind of takes away from the charm and the feeling of actually crawling through an interconnected and alive world. I'd rather do expeditions with my slugpups than play this.

I was expecting something like Downpour and this is entirely it's own thing and I completely get what they were going for, but it's not worth $20 NZD.

Enamoured with this game. What a unique, emotional, and brutal toybox.

Something of a masterpiece of design.

I can't believe it took me this long to get around to The End Is Nigh. What a fantastic precision platformer with the perfect amount of challenge. The level design in this game is just fantastic and I love the little squishy noises of the protagonist as he flings himself through the decrepit wasteland of his world, his shenanigans and deaths set to some great energetic music by Ridiculon. And best of all - this game really respects your time, unlike its spiritual predecessor Super Meat Boy, with no annoying time-wasting bosses and a lightning fast respawn after death.

I really hope Edmund makes another platformer in his career because this and SMB are pretty much the best in the genre.

Super stylish presentation and fun inventory management clashes against some unfortunately fairly uninspired gameplay loop and puzzles. Worth picking up on a nice 50% or higher sale.

Early Access Review
I thought this game was pretty good for the first 20 hours.

Then me and my buddies unlocked the musical instruments. Our tank warrior Bleu was on the lute, our mage The Bootylizer was on the flute, and the ranger Jordan Famsey (me) decided to join in with another lute, just to see what would happen.

Turns out if you play a song with two lutes, the second lute plays an accompanying harmony. Pretty cool! I was very impressed. That shows some love put into the game.

Then I thought... what if we played 3 lutes at once? There's no way they wrote three separate parts, just for one of the 4 instruments.

So The Bootylizer crafts another lute and sits down to play and to my complete amazement there is a distinct third harmony for the third lute, for one of the many songs you can play in the game, and it's beautiful.

I think that I decided I really liked this game at that exact moment. You can tell a lot of love has gone into the systems that tie this thing together.

I honestly can't believe I played Palworld over this a year ago when we were deciding between the two. While it has its fair share of issues, the quality of Enshrouded as a multiplayer experience is just awesome. Highly recommend with friends!

I think the best word to describe Slime Rancher is "delightful", and those who know me well know that I don't throw that word around lightly

Worth playing for the 4 hour Claptrap DLC, which is one of the best pieces of Borderlands content out there, full stop... but you have to play 10-15 hours of the incredibly average Presequel main game to access it.

The Claptrap DLC deserves a standalone version like Tiny Tina's Dragon Keep got, and arguably deserves it even more because it's so good compared to the game it's dependent on.

That's life!
