*REVIEW FOR DAYZ MOD OF THE GAME!*

The game has never been perfent but unfortunatly the game is being downgraded each "update", If you are planing to but the game for ridiculous base building and giant helicopters flying around everywhere sure play for Epoch or Overpoch as they are essentially a seperate game but for the people who want to experience the true vanilla dayz, sorry you missed the golden times. Dayz was nearly perfect with the exeption of cheaters and glitches , the game was simply amazing, exploring the unknown world of Chernarus and encountering many people on the way and finding supplies was like nothing i have ever played before but the current state of the game although fixing lots of glitches and removing most cheaters, it is slowly bringing out some very useless anoyances to the game each update. These are some of the things that ruin the Dayz experience for me personally:
1. Blood Bags: Before around 1.8.2 blood bags were simple, it is one of the only ways to regenerate health and in its former state was great, no one had a problem with them but the new developers of the mod are wanting to make the game like the standalone by adding un-fun, un-nessecary procedures to actually use them. Something as simple as regenerating health has become a tedious process first having to find your blood type then finding the correct blood bag for your friend to use an external blood transfusion kit.
2.Zombies: Zombies are what make Dayz a "zombie survival game" and most people did complain about the easiness to simply out run them then hide in a bush making gunplay againsed zombies a very impractical thing, the response from the developers was to buff the zombies hit damage and numbers but let me explain something, zombies are NOT the main enemy, they are a simple fill in for all the empty of towns and the last thing you should do is to make it so that getting hit by them has worse consequences, especially when they have extremely laggy and glitchy movement and they spot players very easily even when sneaking. Players often die during essential activities like gunfights or looting because of zombies glitching and teleporting in infinite numbers to unfairly opppose a certain player.
3. Clunkiness: An unchanged, unfixed control and animation system has been used in Dayz since the begining with unintuitive scroll wheel mechanics and the slow animations of every actions which seemingly don't get cancelled unless you use the annoying scroll wheel... But this can be overlooked for more expirienced players, what cant is the new fatique system implimenting an awquard screen tilt/sway movement in mostly random times which in first person is quite nauseous and completly disabled players to properly use iron/aim sights.
4. Food/Drink: In more recent updates food and drinks have been made unnessecarily more difficult, from a full can of soda realisticly replenishing your health in earlier versions of the game now only replenish less than a quarter making those dire situations of starvation, looking for just one can of beans over 4 times more difficult.
5.Infection: Sepsis was not the best inplementation but quite a realistic intresting mechanic, altough quite luck based, it wasn't so common that you would find yourself dying of it often. This may seem good on paper but really isn't great when it is so easy to get infected from an over powered zombie hit or a blood tranfusion then easiely unknowingly being able to transmit from player to player.
6:Bases/Fences?: Ok this isn't epoch so why can i see clusters of big structures placed around the map, this ruines the immersion of the gritty survival game when there are little safe boxes people hide in. If people wanna build, trade and things unrelated to Dayz, they would play Epoch but if they want to explore and survive and PVP they play Dayz.
7: Crafting: You add useless items in the game littered around the map to be colected by players just for them to realise that you need to find 5 other useless items just so they are combined to be another useless item on the crafting menu. (Useless+Useless+Useless=Useless) this just adds junk to the game and wastes a potentially good crafting system using items that the player already has and can use.

I miss the unique Dayz game. The lag, glitches, zombies, controls etc, from the early versions are true issues but for every slight fix they sneak in new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that no one really wants just to further clutter and lag the game. Even with this it is still enjoyable (more than most other survival games) and it recommend it but not as much as i would have 2-3 years ago.
