They don’t stand being favored. No job is good enough to them, and they will easily exile any settler. They’re not against the storm, they’re on their own in the storm.

The Bats have uneasy character but they add another layer of charm to the game, enriching it with gothic buildings. They’re bold enough to bring the whole settlement to Rocky Ravines, where no wood can be gathered, and the Black Market is the key to survival. Nightwatchers balance this challenge with more peaceful biome - Bamboo Flats, where you should take care of a giant but adorable creature called Fluffbeak.

These and other additions make it a great DLC, and I enjoyed it even more than Keepers of the Stone. If you love the base game, go for it!

Against the Storm is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'll always support its developers.

The amount of engagement and effort they put in the base game, with all the free updates that were released after early access, are truly remarkable. Yes, their 1st paid DLC added new challenges, but the main reason to buy Keepers of the Stone is to support Eremite Games and Hooded Horse.

With this DLC, you will get 1 new race, 2 biomes and additional orders, as well as Citadel rewards and a soundtrack as a bonus. It made me come back to the game after a break and appreciate even more its richness of gameplay and genereous replayability. Waiting for Nightwatchers with impatience!

Intriguing, but not enough to tolerate the tremendous amount of bugs. The games in such state should not even be put on sale, and if players don’t speak up it’ll keep happening.

Other games: Thank you for playing!

System Shock: Remove yourself insect, you're the most annoying creature on this station.

Things to know before you play it:
  1. The game doesn’t tell you exactly what to do, but if you're attentive enough you'll figure it out.
  2. If an item isn’t marked as junk, don’t throw it away! It’s a key item and you won’t progress without it.
  3. You actually have to listen to audio logs that you find; they may contain important hints.
  4. The game is not for rushers. You need to enjoy exploring and coming back to the same locations over and over.
  5. If you see a number somewhere, mark it down. Trust me, you will need it later (no, you can't just google it).
  6. The Laser Rapier weapon and a Berserk booster will make you an unstoppable beast.
  7. Save often! Especially if you're like me and think that buying a grenade from a vending machine is a good idea.
  8. Even if you like puzzles, make sure to carry one Logic Probe with you. Something tells me you might need it.
  9. The mix of retro and modern graphics is absolutely amazing, even if they seem unusual at first.
  10. You probably shouldn't select the higher difficulties on your 1st run.
Welcome to the Citadel Station, Hacker!

Frostpunk 2 is more than just a sequel. It's a bigger picture of Frostpunk.

This is an impression I have carried since the closed beta. Frostpunk 2 offers us a larger perspective on survival in harsh and unforgiving conditions. No, you don't need to place houses around steam hubs anymore, you've already mastered this skill in the 1st opus (well done, steward!). Now, a new challenge is in front of you: to manage the growing population with its factions, ideas, thoughts, and views on the future. This concept is executed with grace and beauty, and while I still have a lot to discover, I'm already in love with this masterpiece.

And once again, I tell myself that nobody else could have created Frostpunk, but 11 bit studios. The heart and soul that they put into their work, the moral questions about humanity, and empathy during hard times, are something that goes beyond the game itself. It leaves a mark, and I'm grateful to have discovered it. Thank you for delivering Frostpunk 2, I'm absolutely impressed.

Basically, there is only one choice to be made. Sorry, Ryan.

What's new:

1 campaign, 2 biomes, 2 civilizations, 4 variant civilizations, 10 maps and other in-game content.

Is it worth it?

Hell yes!
