Cool if you're into roguelite games that are all mechanics. To me it's all too mathy and randomish. I prefer a more handcrafted feel and a focus on story.
That said, this game has plenty of polish, style and balance so I do recommend it to fans of the genre.

This game is perfect evidence of how badly balanced the boardgame it's based on was. Overwatch is way overpowered and makes most missions too easy (or too hard if you don't use it). Melee is completely useless. Chain-fisting doors gives you an achievement but why else one should ever do it is beyond me. Controls are unreliable: Accidental clicks are often as deadly as the genestealers. The mission goals are sometimes unclear or even bugged. The 40,000 kill-achievement is a sad joke. The available micro-DLCs are insulting.

But somehow, even long after all childhood nostalgia has worn off, I still keep coming back to this game. Somehow it's great fun despite all its flaws. Especially when playing with a friend.

If you feel like grabbing 5000 achievements undeserving of this name at the cost of

- the price of this game,
- 10-20 minutes of your time,
- 5 years off of the life expectancy of your left mouse button,
- 5 years off of your own life expectancy for self-induced Chinese water torture gameplay accompanied by gruesome elevator music,

then this game is for you.

Outstanding gameworld, controls and mechanics! Personally, I hate the game's style for its combination of cute and deadly (wtf is wrong with the supposed target audience for that?!) and the cheesy art, but at least it's all a coherent whole. Don't expect much of a story, either.

The game is challenging but no Super Meat Boy. Being decent at platforming is certainly enough to make it through if you're willing to do plenty of exploring and experimenting with charm combos for each particular boss.

Oh, and the world is enormous! I also like how the progression isn't linear without making up for it by leveling the world along with the player.

It's hard to believe how much a game that has simple rectangles for protagonists can hit you in the feels. It's all in the strangely engaging narration, which accompanies the puzzles.

The game isn't too difficult, so for the most part you can walk right through and enjoy the story. Brilliant!

The beginning sucked but the rest was a welcome surprise. Despite its age it's also not too hard on the eyes in DX10 mode.
