"Fires of War"

The sky pours rain as if it has been torn open. I leap into a muddy puddle, where the rain, seeping into my bones, mingles with the decaying soil. Beneath the Black Towers, I move—pale and silent as a ghost. No one takes notice.

Ahead, orcs gather around a campfire encircled by tents, shouting over the thunder’s roar. I draw Acharn—my dead son’s broken sword—from its sheath. The faint chime of metal against the hilt is swallowed by the storm. As I slip into Mordor’s long shadows, the Elf Lord’s voice echoes in my mind… whispering for me to embrace the ways of the first Dark Lord, to exploit the fears of orcs.

Strike the enemy with their own weapon…

I tighten my grip on Acharn’s hilt. No—not this time. I know we need an army to stand against Mordor’s might. But this time, the only thing the orcs will face is the fire of my vengeance.

And so, as I emerge from the shadows and seize the throat of the nearest orc, I raise Acharn into alignment…
