I’ve always loved the original, and honestly, the original still feels better in terms of storytelling composition. It’s more focused without too many subplots like this remake has.

But aside from that, I really love this game. It gives us the chance to explore Midgar City with the atmosphere I remember from the original, now presented with modern detail and updated content. I also love the added perspective and depth from the NPCs who live in Midgar — seeing how they’re affected by the Shinra Company, whether they support it or not, is a great addition.

I really enjoy the battle system as well. This, along with the Active Dimension Battle (ADB) system from Final Fantasy XII, is exactly the direction modern Final Fantasy games should take — not just pure hack-and-slash.

The part I didn’t really like is the dungeon-like sections that feel unnecessarily long when moving between chapters. Sometimes the pacing can feel a bit dragged out.

All in all, you should definitely try this game. I bought it on PS5 and now again on Steam because this is a solid game, and I can’t wait for the release of the final part to conclude the story.

Finally, after Dynasty Warriors 8, this has become another one of my favorite Dynasty Warriors games, even though it's just a spinoff.

The new gameplay and mechanics are something that should definitely be implemented in the next installment.

I also love the graphics and attention to detail.

I can’t wait for Dynasty Warriors 10 with this kind of gameplay and features. I really hope they never reduce the number of playable characters from the previous entries.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a fun open-world RPG that brings the Dragon Ball Z saga to life. I really hope other anime video games can offer an experience like this.

And wow, they keep updating the game with new content, just like what they’ve done with Xenoverse.

This game reminds me of the Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku series on the GBA, which I used to play when I was little.

Aside from the fighting system—which feels similar to other Dragon Ball games—this game gives us the chance to explore all the iconic locations from the Dragon Ball story in an open-world setting. (You can even drive a car!)

I really like this game because of nostalgia.
This is perfect remake from old-school Bokujo Monogatari remake.

But, sadly..

Overall, this is a Musou game with a new system that goes beyond the Dynasty Warriors 8 / Warriors Orochi 4 engine.
(Let’s not talk about Dynasty Warriors 9, okay?)

(+) Pros
"You can change your Musou!"
Yes, and this is great! You can assign four skills to your Musou slots, and new Musou skills will unlock as you progress through the story.

"Very good graphics"
The graphics are much better compared to Pirate Warriors 1–3.

"You can jump now!"
Yes, you can finally jump! This is really good because now you can perform aerial combos.

"Online Multiplayer"
You can now play online with your friends or with random players.

(–) Cons
"Only six arcs"
Yes, I get it — they want to present the story in more detail. But still…

"Some costumes are missing"
Did they really remove Zoro’s yellow jacket?

Overall, this is a really great Musou game. I hope they continue to release more updates in the future.

One of my favorite childhood game.

It's simple, but addictive.

You must have strategy and don't worry to spend your money to buy bigger fish.
