So I've seen a comment that you have made that ended up on a video (https://youtu.be/0ekoducmaxE?t=637) , you are aware that the "player count", majority of them are bots idling in private servers? Zesty did an experiment using gift catapults and did some statistics. At least 60K bots were discovered. https://youtu.be/nnuxHZm73PU?t=220
He sampled at 2% of the "player base" (1402 catapults).
He also performed time series analysis on TF2's numbers, and linking them with bot related events. https://youtu.be/2stmQfv93oQ?t=386
And lastly, a motive must be established on why can we realistically blame Valve for this mess. They tried to pull of a TF2 style "competitive" scene, with so much glaring issues. https://youtu.be/JNxg5stxlhk?t=7130
I suggest you to watch these videos in full - it is a resounding disagree to the points you have been making. I have over 3K hours in TF2, and got it all the way back in Orange Box in late 2010. It also helps Zesty is a Geophysicist https://youtube.fandom.com/wiki/Zesty_Jesus , and I have a first class degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from a distinguished university. The arguments presented are quite sound.
