Writing a review for this game is difficult, but here's what I can say: this game caught me by complete surprise and quickly became one of my favorite games. One of the best gaming experiences to be released in years, and easily my GOTY.

Rather than try to justify my opinion or explain what makes the game worth playing, I'll leave you with this: Watch the first trailer video and read the "About This Game" section. If your interest was piqued, then go play the game without looking into it anymore. If you need more, just know that this is a difficult puzzle game that doesn't hold your hand, but is rewarding to those that persevere and don't give up.

Best Touhou game since UFO. Great bullet patterns, cool gimmick, and great music. Also Tsukasa.

Have about 200+ hours on this game outside of steam. Probably in my top 3 games. best touhou game

The best designed Metroidvania I've ever played. Seriously. This game may be short, but it makes up for it by being so incredibly good. Hollow Knight may have way more content, but even then, I would put these two games equal to each other in terms of quality.

Also, one of the very very few cases where you can unironically say "its the dark souls of <genre>". The inspirations are clear, and work well. It feels great to play, difficulty is hard but completely fair.

The only negative thing I have to say about this game is the boob which is very cheesy and probably drives away a lot of people from playing the game. Which is a shame because more people should play this.

This game is really hard. It's basically Ghosts n' Goblins except not as infuriating. The game also gives you infinite continues at the cost of the good ending/achievements so you still get to experience the game. Whereas I would not recommend Ghosts n' Goblins, I would recommend this game if you like hard, retro platformers.
