I am a beta tester, though I paid for the privilege. Dokimon Quest caters to fans of retro monster tamers like gameboy-era Pokemon, Dragon Quest, and Digimon. The game is an excellent example of merging the past with the present, bringing quality of life features like mid-battle evolutions, a retro palette selector, seamless language switching with the possibility for community fan-translations, a fast-forward key during monster battles, and more.

Dokimon Quest is a story-centric game that won't baby you with kindergarten-level reading comprehension. The game respects the player and treats them as an adult with more mature dialogue and jokes. The game begins with the player preparing to explore the world to find clues about their lost childhood friend and hopefully find closure. Along the way, the player will learn some backstory about how the Xelos region works all while having fun capturing dokimon creatures using cards called Captals. Dokimon Quest rewards the player for exploring--the world hides tons of secrets, including items, locations and even dokimon.

The developer themselves, Yanako RPGs, is driven by one person--Yana, and it's obvious they pour their heart and soul into their game. On the first day of release, they spent over 12 hours among their customers on several social media channels and pushed out several hotfixes in a single day. Often when a report came in, Yana immediately understood what happened, where it happened, why it happened, and pushed a hotfix right away. Customers have almost no waiting period with Yana.

This is an indie developer who has grown as an individual over the years and shows it through their actions. Definitely one to follow.

I have a low playtime on Steam because I've been using my handheld for it. This game is WELL worth the price tag! If you like block pushing puzzles, collecting keys, and the ability to make semi-non-linear decisions, this game is for you! For the measly $20 USD, you get:

- The game's amazing soundtrack
- The game itself
- 15-20 hours of gameplay (average, depending on your IQ)
- The ability to use the game with your Steam Deck
- Don't have a Steam Deck? Use the game with a retro handheld via PortMaster

This game is very zen. I'm talking no stress brain food. You can undo your mistakes one by one, or reset an entire room to be as if you'd just entered it. If you die, a little jingle plays and you respawn right there. No lives system, no countdown waits, and no game overs. It's a perfect little bundle for anyone, but especially helpful for those struggling with anxiety. A ton of people play games as a form of escapism, and this game accomplishes that feeling of solitude while keeping your mind distracted from intrusive thoughts.

Buy it! You won't regret it!

Beautiful pixel art mixed with roguelike elements and frustratingly fun challenge. Super Dungeon Muncher scratches that toilet game itch, and it appears the developer had that setting in mind given the unlockable poop character, heh. This game is also receiving content updates quickly, and the developer is very receptive to suggestions in the discussion boards. AAA studios won't treat their customers as well.

I remember when my father picked this up from Best Buy. Two years before he'd gotten me the Worldwide Warfare collection, and we were so excited to play the next Red Alert game. I would play this all night until my mother was forced to unplug the PC. I would play this in the early morning hours and sometimes miss the school bus because I was too busy fighting commies. At one point I took my CDs to school and let my best friend use them, needless to say he got addicted.

Then Yuri's Revenge was released and the cycle repeated. When my brother got older, we started playing LAN matches and then later down the road, CnCNet matches. To this day, it's still one of the best bonding moments--we catch up with eachother over discord while playing 1v1s and 2v2s.

My kids aren't quite old enough yet to play this. But in two years, I'll be glad to onboard new commanders. This game along with every other Command & Conquer game in the collection is a timeless classic held up by loving and adoring fans like myself.

Compared to The Force Engine’s existing mods and features, you’re paying $30 for ai upscale restorations in cutscenes and enhanced textures. Not worth the price point. Would purchase for $10 given the original is $6.

Actual pirate sandbox game. There is no pay to win, every reward is cosmetic. The fun and satisfactory feelings come with gameplay and laughs with friends. Anticheat is a huge win for Rare.

A faithful and community-oriented remaster of the originals in the 90s. The behind-the-scenes troves and the open-source modding alone make this game worth the purchase. At $8-$20, you'd be missing out big time if you passed this up.
