Early Access Review
It's like Warband but better in almost every way, even in EA.

Decently fun for a little bit, drops off extremely quickly. Also a weird blur around the edges that none of the settings seems to change.

Absolutely fantastic game. Anyone who is a fan of turn based games, card based games, stat management, settlement management, or a host of other features should definitely get this.

I have hundreds of hours in the GoG version so I have no hours on Steam.

The only negatives I can state are:

If you get a bad start it can make the early game very hard/slow - and the game is unforgiving as it is. However, you can save your settings so starting a new game takes 30 seconds if you want to game the map generation.

The end game is really fun, and punishing - but after you go through levelling up all the gods and optimising your playstyle there isn't much beyond it since the story is quite linear - you're trying to decide the fate of Thea. You have lots of choices don't get me wrong, but you'll end up at the same point in the story whether it takes you 100 days or 500. That aside, if you are a completionist there are hundreds of hours worth of content here, and if you're not then maybe you'll get 30-60 hours which for the price is not bad at all.

Fun for a few hours but lacks depth and didn't get me hooked or invested. It's like a less complex version of This War of Mine.

Pro's:
Good concept, simple execution.
Gameplay isn't too slow, paced rather well.

Con's:
-No depth, nothing to hook you to the game or invest you in the characters.

-Very short. Not much replayability unless you want to go everywhere to scavenge - which doesn't really do much at the moment since all you can do with items is sell them for bullets.

-Levelling system needs an overhaul. There are no prompts for levelling up or gaining xp.

-For a narrative based rpg there's not much story, and for a story based game it's riddled with spelling errors. There's a disclaimer saying English is not the devs native language, but if you're making a story based game it's quite important.

-Actions and decisions don't really have that many consequences and you can redo some sections of text to get a different outcome without even restarting the game or loading from a save.

Conclusion:

If you're looking for a gritty game about survival and scavenging, get This War of Mine instead. At least until more updates come out for ICY. Can't reccommend in its current state.
