I'm sure this game is amazing. I am only writing a negative review because of Rockstars BS always online launcher system.

This game is more than the sum of its parts. There is no breakthrough gameplay system, no unique story, and no revolutionary multi-player system. Yet as a whole, this game is astoundingly fun...maybe perhaps, because it doesn't have all the frills and flare, and it does exactly what it's trying to do. Easily became one of my favorite games to play with friends

Not only is this the worst Dragon Age I have played. This is among the top 5 worst pieces of media I have consumed. This was written and directed by somebody that has no respect, care, or love for the established lore.

7:10 - wait for sale:
It's a good game, especially for any fan for Harry Potter. The Scottish Highlands are beautiful, Hogwarts is amazing and large enough to have been the entire set on its own. The wand combat is more fun than it has any right to be, however there are some issues, most of which could get resolved in patches.
1) The interaction between your classmates and professors under utilized
2) The classes and potion making seem reminiscent of a mobile game.
3) Some of the dialog repetion is too much (all roads lead to hogsmead).
4) The flight controls for the broom should be more akin to traditional pc flight controls.
5) there is a lack of spell diversity. We could use only one leviosa spell, maybe just one fire spell. I think all utility spells should be exempt from the action bindings. Then we'd have more room for cool combat spell load outs.
6) PC version should have option to keybind all spells to any keyboard keys.
7) More house interaction
8) where is our patronos?? Or quidditch?

Now to balance here are some good things.
1) the boss fights are good, I really liked ranrocks especially.
2) Sabastions questline is soo good it should have been the main story.
3) The Room of Requirement and vivarium customizations are endless possibility.
4) the Voice acting is mostly good.
5) there is a plethora of Easter eggs for most potter heads.

If your a die hard potter fan pick it up, if you are more of a casual fan or just curious wait for a sale.

I hope they do add some dlc that introduce new story beats and spells, as well as optimizing some of the gameplay aspects.

There are some features with building that could be tweaked, but overall this is going in the right direction

I was on the fence about recommendjng and not recommending it. Overall I recommend it because it's a a solid shooter. It's a far cry game so you know what youre expecting.

The companions are a lot of fun.
I feel the bases are diverse enough that you really feel like you can do more than snipe from a distance. The companions are really nice, though some become your defacto team. Graphically it is pretty and runs well.

However I am disappointed with the direction the story went; not for any socio-political reason I just didn't feel that sense of accomplishment.

I was also really disappointed with the crafting. They seemed to have really cheapened the hunting and crafting aspect which is a shame considering the environment.

Overall I would say this is my second least favorite far cry but it's still a fun game.

i would walk under bridges again

This has quickly become my favorite RPG series, beating out Dragon Age, KOTOR, and Mass Effect. CD Project Red care about their product and it shows. Superb game. 9/10
