I really really want to love this game. I really do. And I hope I get to change my review later. I want to have hope that the devs are listening to the complaints....

But honestly for now, please just go play House Flipper 1. Yes, mechanically this is a better game (in a *technical* sense). You can tell they've updated how their engine handles stuff and I like the way the tools are organized better in HF2. I feel like this is a good skeleton for a good game.

HOWEVER -- there's so much *less* in HF2. Seriously. It doesn't show you what kind of room the game considers you've decorated (is this counting as a bedroom? A kitchen? a living room? will that even matter in the auction??). It doesn't let you tailor the house to a seller type so you're totally blind when you go to sell (and for me quite frequently disappointed with the amount at auction). You get so much more money by replaying the jobs that it's almost not worth it to actually flip the houses you have access to.

And legit - HF1's ability to even just mow your grass is impossible to play without. I wouldn't think they would have even considered releasing without being able to tidy up your yard, but here we are.

Devs, please prove me wrong and bring this game up to HF1 standards. Meanwhile -- gamers just play HF1. It's amazing, you will love it to pieces. I've got hundreds of hours over there and planning on many more.

"That grace period will now expire". WOW. WOW THOSE WORDS WERE A *CHOICE*!

I'm in marketing guys. Yall have an amazing game. But come on, a PSN account? Nope. Don't think I will. And being in marketing, I'm really amazed no one from the company has said anything yet. I've never seen a review dump like this before XD XD XD. Impressive! Most impressive.

Do you like Banished? Good! You'll love this game. I'm floored that this is only one dev! Go Greg, you got this!
Gotta say, I'm charmed by the "walk around your city in 3rd person" mode. Just absolutely the perfect touch :)

I sat down to play and it's now morning. And when I went to take my dog outside, I had the instinct to check my o2 tank first.

I think I'm hooked XD. Highly recommended.

This is LITERALLY just Pharaoh. Seriously, the nostalgia is intoxicating!

I get that there are some bad reviews, but a lot of those are about either bugs that the devs are working on or people that may not remember how to play. I will 100% admit -- it's not the easiest game to learn. It's complicated and can be delicate to balance your city.

But yall, it's perfectly Pharaoh. Everything is so well done. The music is amazing, the graphics are great, the voice actors have gone out o ftheir way to be as close to the original as possible. It's just a phenomenal work of art and love. I'm right back in middle school playing this remake.

The only thing I would say misses the mark is the new military system. But the devs have also said they're working on implementing that and also a minimap. I'm definitely ok with how it is now, and that just gives us something to look forward to.

Many thanks to the devs for the remake of my favorite game growing up! And to everyone who played this way back when -- I can't recommend picking this up enough. <3

Ok, I genuinely love this game. It's comfortable, it's chill, it's nice. It's not as challenging as a lot of other settlement builders, but it's cozy. I know the devs have been adding a lot of "post year 2" content - which is definitely where they need the most improvement - but honestly just getting to year 2 is endlessly fun. If you're the kind of settlement building player that I am who loves to restart with different challenges and different settings etc ... then this game is right up your ally.

I mean, you don't HAVE to restart a bunch, I've seen some amazing builds that are many in game years old. I'm a chronic restarter in rimworld too and I know that's not always recommended. But whatever, I have fun with it.

I also actually love that it's basically the same art style as rimworld etc. I love that style but this seems to be the only comfy game built like that?

Either way, I've gotten almost 250 hours of enjoyment and I know I'll be getting a lot more. Definitely recommended if you want a relaxing type settlement building experience that still has a few challenges for you now and again.

I wanted to enjoy this game, I really did. But I'm gonna be honest here -- it's way too easy.

It's pretty, sure. And it's good for the first hour or so of gameplay. But point in case, I'm trying to get the achievements for messing up (aka plague and riots etc) and I can't even get health in the city low enough to start a plague.

When you're playing for "real" (aka NOT trying to mess things up on purpose), it's basically just a citybuilder on auto. Plop down a few buildings and that's kind of just it. You could walk away for an hour to go make dinner, come back, and lo and behold the city is still fine. How do I know this? Lol, I did exactly that.

Plus having a paid DLC that really belongs in base game is just silly.

Go play Banished or Dawn of Man instead. You'll have more fun. Unless you're not looking for any challenge at all, at which point go ahead and give Patron a try.

This is my new favorite survival game. Yall. It's amazing. Please just play it. It's like a cross between 7 Days to Die and Conan Exiles, with some Journey mixed in. In fact, I've never seen a game do distances as well since Journey and I doubt we will anytime soon.

I didn't realize how much I needed a real great desert survival game until I played this. The map alone is absolutely brilliantly done. You don't appear on the map, but you can make a large marker from sticks (Which btw ... why can't I do that in Minecraft? Or 7 Days? Or any other game, that's BRILLIANT!) and that will appear on your map. So you can place icons and mark locations based on this mechanic.

Fantastic game, absolutely cannot wait to see where it goes. Also excited about the devs announcing working on multiplayer, so that's going to be great too!

Between Corvo, Emily, Daud, and Billie ... I have to say that Billie is my favorite player character in the whole Dishonored franchise. I just replayed this game again and it never gets old. It wraps up the Kaldwin era of Dishonored so perfectly. I have hopes for what comes next ... but I won't include any spoilers here. Suffice to say, if you've enjoyed the other Dishonored games, this one is essential.

Cathartic. Though I'm not sure why all of your employees look like they just left Abercrombie to come work on a farm?? That's a bit off putting.
