First, it's a weird/interesting game. You are dreaming and suddenly you wake up (in the dream) inside a castle with dungeons, a tower, a theater, a library, and a big patio. These distinct areas are distributed in a maze fashion, and you need different abilities and a clear understanding of the game's movement system to make progress. You're no human, but a goat-like creature. I completed it in 14 hours and needed to look for at least two YT videos to understand the wall kick ability. Overall, it's a clever game filled with nostalgia.

This game was a challenge. It is ideal for those who are patience enough to die about 50-60 times in order to pass one section of a map. There's no room for error and a joystick is a MUST.

I completed 99% of the game (I didn't want to find the last spirit). You may have to defeat the final boss twice to get the best ending. I couldn't just let Leyrah die. Five stars for me.

The story is pretty standard: You are a little girl alone in a world consumed by the Blighted (some kind of darkness). You have to free afflicted souls (knights, witches, guardians, pets).

The highlights of this game are the score, the weapon system (spirits), the graphic art, and the clever voiceless approach to character interactions and overall narrative.

It took me 27 hours to complete 91% of the game, including two endings (A and B). The C ending is challenging (final boss²), so I decided to watch it on YouTube.

-- Lore | 10/10

I like that you discover something new regarding Zag's past as you increase your escape attempts. Also, it's nice that you can interact and develop relationships with pretty much all characters. Some areas and even bosses' names change based on your progress and interactions. That's pretty cool.

-- Gameplay | 8/10

Many weapons, many styles. The combat system is straightforward and similar to DMC. You may get bored of it after two escape attempts. It all feels the same.

-- Graphics | 10/10

Who doesn't love cartoon-ish graphics? 10/10.

It doesn't make any justice to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: S.O.C., but the ending gives at least a connection with the previous release (which goes after this one in the lore).

Recommendation: Play it with the Sky Reclamation Project v1.1.3 mod to eliminate the many bugs this game has, especially in the faction wars mini-game.

Ten years ago, I had a very low-end PC and couldn't play it properly, not to mention this game's poor optimization. It took me 34 hours to finish it, but I didn't complete dozens of side quests. The sarcophagus level is very challenging but rewarding. Yes, I recommend STALKER: SOC. However, make sure to pair it with the STALKER Starter Pack mod to get rid of ancient bugs and glitches. Oh, and use 60 FPS + active v-sync to reduce stutterings.

Excellent experience brought by Ubisoft with their amazing engine platform. Lots of action, shoots, driving and a cool history. If you like action movies related to Africa's societies, this is your oportunity!

Awesome game, which includes a fascinating history that will immerse you into the 1100 A.C. era. Good graphics and nice controls. A key observation is that you will objectives and quests redundant. Just focus on the main story and don't do the boring side quests.
