One of the best MMOs ever made imo. It has the right balance of struggle and fun. Its not as easy as WoW (it can be in solo quests and grinding), but not as hard as Elden Ring either. It will frustrate you, sure, but in the end it really has a good balance and feel. There seems to be too few classes, but when you add in abilities based on race, armor type, weapon type, along with fighter guild, mage guild, dark brotherhood and other organizations, and even werewolf and vampire quest and ability lines, there really is a lot of customization. Even some abilities that cost stam or majika (the 2 resources in this game other than health) can be morphed to use the other resource instead, allowing for such thing as a majika nightblade (rogue type class) or stam mage! The story and lore are everywhere, typical of ES, and everything is fully animated and voiced acted to a quality unseen in most other games. I've loved the game for years. I've taken breaks but when I come back, I wonder why I ever left. I just love trying other MMOs. In the end though I like this one the best.

Yes it had a rough start. Yes there were a lot of things promised that weren't there, but they have worked hard to bring us much of what was lacking, and the game is much better for it!

If you are expecting this game to be a fast-paced sci-fi thrill ride, you will be disappointed. Yet if you play it for what it is, a game heavily focused on exploration, and don't mind a slower pace starting out, you might be like me and learn to really like it. I find it great when I want something casual, and laid back. Sure, it gets a bit annoying starting out with having to repair your equipment seemingly way too often. Yet once you get on a planet with a decent environment, that isn't such an issue. Then you get vehicles (look up how to get them as I could have gotten many days earlier if I had know it). They help a lot.

Tips
1. Early on, don't worry about hanging onto everything. You can't. Find stuff that has a high value (tooltips tell you). Trash the low value stuff, and load up your bags with high value stuff. Then go sell it at a space station.
2. The stuff you need to fuel your ship (Tritium) can be found shooting up asteroids and the crystal formations stuck to them, just beyond your planets atmosphere! Easy to farm.
3. Scan for and get buried technology. Use them to buy blueprints of crafted items (buildings, vehicles, etc.)

Don't trust the haters. Some people never forgive, and some people think their opinion should be they only one, attempting to peddle it as the truth. If you are intrigued, then watch some peeps on Twitch. Ask questions, and learn. Find out for yourself if the game is good for you. Good luck all!
