Very empty map.
Extremely shallow "campaign" mode that is forgettable.

very solid game, i was able to get 24 fps which its ok because the human eye can only see 24 fps.
the map design is solid, i just wish the controls were listed so i would know what to do with the drill on lv 2.

overall the game is:

- good graphics;
- easy control;
- interesting gameplay;
- unforgettable adventure;

You like L4D2, but you can't shell out 20 bucks, or you're waiting for the sale? Get this.
The jist of it?
You play as a bunch of dudes that need to plant a bomb, and once you do, you get the hell outta there. It plays similarly to Left 4 Dead, it's simple but fun. I am comparing this to Left 4 Dead 2 because in both games you are heading from point A to point B. The major differences from these two games are:

A. Smaller weapon selection than L4D2
B. This game has less variety with zombies
C. You can aim down sights in this game!
D. Five dudes v. four

Gun Play
The gun play is nowhere near as good as it is in titles like KF2, but it's good enough to be satisfying.
Da Graphics
The graphics are uh... who cares? You're playing a game on the source engine. You shouldn't really care about graphics.
Them Sounds
Sounds are fine, you'll hear a few re-used from other sources games, though not a big deal. The guns sounds are different, however.
Gripes
My major gripe with this game is the terrible weapon sound quality, it sounds like it came from a bootleg MW2. However, you can fix this by getting a weapon sound pack on the workshop. Also, there's not many weapons to choose from, but it's not a big deal though because the games are short in nature, any more guns would probably be too much.
My thoughts
Get this game if you can't afford L4D2, you're waiting for a sale, or you just want to kill a few zeds in a short amount of time. It's simple, fun, and satisfying enough to have you coming back for more.

Left 4 Dead. The real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to zombie shooters. This was a fantastic game at the time, but since the release of Left 4 Dead 2, there is not much reason to buy this game. All content that was featured in L4D1 is implemented in L4D2. However, L4D1 does feature a slightly *darker* atmosphere and horror. When you look down you actually see your feet, and admittedly the L4D1 survivors featured in L4D2 have slightly buggy animations. All in all, if you want the authentic Left 4 Dead 1 experience, I will recommend this game. Before the release of L4D2, I would highly recommend this game. There's not much reason to get this game.

This game is terrible. There's not much that can be said about this game. Completely serious and honest opinion about this game, from someone who plays L4D2 on the daily.

The graphics are HORRIBLE. They wouldn't look so bad if this game was made back in the early 90's, but it runs on the HL1 engine. Note im running on max settings. The pace of the game is SOOOO SLOW, and the characters walk SOOOO SLOW that youd be under the impression they don't give a damn if they died. The game is darker than a black hole so you can't see anything. The gunplay is absolutely terrible. I don't know, its an aquired taste but it does not feel right unloading an entire magazine of double ought buck into a zombie and still being alive. The worst aspect of this game are zombies kids. Enough said. Avoid this game like the plague. Play better games like Bad Rats.
