the critic part of my brain has so many problems with this game

i loved my time with the game

its a game that has some amazingly high highs despite the writing at points being so messy its shocking it is in the same game

all that said though ♥♥♥♥ grounded mode

This one actually shocked me. The Alters is by far one of the more unique games that has came out this year and although it's hard to put my finger on, it scratches all the right itches.

This is a narrative-heavy survival-like game that combines The Sims, Death Stranding, Fallout Shelter, and Satisfactory all into one.

At the same time, despite all of those being pretty cozy, this game actually is quite the opposite. The game progresses through tension, struggle, and the economy of time. The world proceeds even if you waste each day, and you only get so many of them. It's a mechanic that might turn people off, however, as it shifts the game from a cozy game to a tense-time based resource manager with survival, exploration and story at the forefront. It is an incredible and unique experience that is the level of quality and creativity that we used to see a lot of. it's a game that takes a lot of risks with its gameplay and although I can't guarantee it will work for you, it definitely did for me.

i played this on xbox back in 2017 and im so glad to be playing it again

you can nuke france

honestly was a fun grind for a few weeks until the cod post nut clarity hits

fun for a short time but it feels guilty with all the junk around it

they actually finished the game
