I've seen a comment stating that this game is a remix of BFBB. This is very true. Feels like BFBB with a different story. The gameplay is fun, though relatively easy. The dialogues are funny, graphics look neat and the soundtrack is alright. All in all it is a good game but just not as good as BFBB. I would recommend the game to everyone who likes SpongeBob and/or liked BFBB.
But I have to criticize the game a bit.
- In my opinion, the game feels a bit like it was rushed. The introduction to the story is relatively short and not really intersting.
- I have encountered a few minor bugs like NPCs stuck at invisible walls or music disappearing after tabbing out and back in again.
- When enemies are relatively far away, their animation framerate is lowered which looks a bit unnatural, especially since for other NPCs this does not seem to happen.
- At some times, the gameplay is very slow. If you really want to see all corners of a place, destroy all tikis etc, you will have to spend a lot of time just running around. Bikini Bottom is especially large and there is a lot of empty space to just walk through and do nothing really.
- The dialogues are very long sometimes. Also, I get the feeling that there is more dialogue than in BFBB but not really more information packed into it. Just more... jokes?
- The combat system is a bit frustrating at times, as there are actions you can only do when looking more or less directly at an enemy. In fights with many enemies, this might have you hit the "wrong" enemy. Also, you will have to turn your camera a lot when there are enemies all around you because you cannot do any special attacks to enemies behind you.

But other than that, the game turns out to be really enjoyable. I also like that there are some classic memes built into the game and some easter eggs that refer to BFBB.

This game is so much better and more complex than it seems.
I got this game when it was on sale for less than 1€. And first I thought that this game is really worth that sale price but not really the standard one of 8,19€. But looking back now after nearly 500 hours of fun gameplay, I have to take that back.
The premise of the game is very simple and understandable for everyone. Bloons enter the map, take on a path and if they make it to the end of the track, you lose. So you just place dart throwing monkeys, or bomb shooters, or boomerang monkeys,... to pop these Bloons.
But then there are also Bloons made of lead, or ceramics, or they regrow multiple layers, or they are camouflaged. And you will have to develop strategies to pop these Bloons as well. And watch out for the MOABs, the giant blimps that are slow but tanky and contain multiple Bloons that come out if you pop those.
Losing the game will almost every time frustrate you in a good way. That kind of frustration where you think "I could have made it" and you instantly try again, adjusting your strategy. For each win, you get Monkey Money that you can spend on heroes, special Monkey towers that you can only place once during a match and that level up by themselves. You will soon find yourself having a favourite hero or using certain heroes for certain strategies on certain maps.
Monkey Money you can also spend on Monkey Knowledge, a big skill tree of 133 skills, allowing you to make your monkeys stronger or to tune your strategies. Every time I have the chance to set a Monkey Knowledge point, it is a really hard decision because basically everything can be helpful.
With time, you will find out just how many challenges await you in this game. There are 14 game modes for each map, and there are 60 maps, varying in 4 difficulties, at the time of writing this. Additionally, there are daily challenges, co-op challenges, and the odysseys that contain multiple challenges you have to pass after each other.
Also, Ninja Kiwi does a really great job. The towers are extremely well balanced. There is no one perfect overpowered strategy that will always win every map in every game mode. You will have to experiment with different towers and upgrades to really find out what fits your needs just right. And there is not a single tower that I never use or find generally bad. Every tower has its advantages and strategies that you can use how you want to.
As I said, at the time of writing, I have played this game for nearly 500 hours. At first glance, the game does not seem like it has enough content to really spend hundreds of hours on it. But that is just wrong. Out of the 60 maps, I only have 7 maps where I completed every challenge. There are still 27 Monkey Knowledge skills left to unlock. And on some of the hard maps, I still really struggle to even win in relatively easy game modes.
Multiplayer is really fun as well, especially with friends. Overall, the community of BTD6 also is really nice, with online communities perfect for exchanging strategies or just talking about your favourite towers or heroes.

Ultimately, I have to say that this game is really for everyone. You can play this game as a boredom killer or to even spend a whole night on it. Especially if you are into strategy or collectables, this game will be really fun for you. Just get it, you will not regret it.
