This game is extremely addictive and fun. There is plenty to do and has a good ammount of replayability.

Track management is huge and complicated.

Still alot of room for improvement, but a solid game as it is even still.

New content has already been anounced to provide even more long term gameplay

TLDR: Currently 6/10 Potential 9/10 - For a free game, well worth it.

This game is pretty unique in my opinion. It has elements unique to several game styles. You run around and hulk smash with your troll, have to manage your resources and workers like banished yet still having to defend your castle at the same time.

There are a few minor annoying bugs such as mobs on occasion spawning outside the map forcing you to surrender the battle. When it happens in survival, this causes you to lose obviously but in endless or the campaign, it's really nothing major other than losing loot for the round. Not a biggie.

The pathfinding for your troll is a bit clunky, sometimes he can't "find" his way to a wide open spot in a field and runs in circles. Still, not a biggie, just keep clicking.

I like how this is a free game with the only DLC option is for skins only. No pay to win.

I have not tried out the twitch stream interacting yet, but that feature looks pretty cool even just in concept, never seen that before.

This game does have a huge ammount of room for improvement as well. I can picture a ton of more things that could be put in. New buildings, higher upgrade levels, new troll types and/or abilities, etc.

All in all, well worth the fun!

I am a veteran with these types of games. Skip the tutorial. Stare at the screen looking for the build buttons. Find it, start building O2 building. Took too long, everyone dies.
Go back and do the tutorial. There we go, now I see what I did...
Start a new game, start laying down the base planned out into an expansive one. Notice everyone is thirsty. Forgot to build fountain. Everyone dies of thirst.
New game, focus on building in the same pattern, this time I built plenty of fountains. Yep this is good. Time to build biodome for food. Spent all my resources, can't build plants. People start dying of starvation.
New game. Ration out the resources. Get fountains. Get bunks. Get biodome. Get mine. Get water and power. Sweet. Forgot processing center. Try to juggle recycle, cut too much water, plants die, O2 goes out. Everyone dies.
Multiple games later... Finally get a nice base built up. 50 population, spare food, water, power... Yeaaaa boy. Ran out of spares. Power slowly starts wavering as I scramble to build factory. Couldn't get spares in time. Power out, everyone dies.

Ffs. Fine, rinse and repeat again. finally get a base built up doing good. Steady ammount of traders coming in. Bam, 5 invaders stop by. First stop is biodome. Kills 3/4 of my biologist. Forgot to get guards. Slowly starve,

First session played this game for 7 hours straight. Did not move from my desk. Finally got up, had to piss so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. Like you ever go out and party hard one night, wake up in the morning and piss for a solid 5 minutes that hurts your balls it's coming out that hard? Yea. That was me after the first play through.

10/10 Would burst bladder again

Simply amazing game.
Minor screen resolution changing bug after installing it, had to manually change settings in the config file just to get it working...

But after that minor hiccup, it was all uphill from there!

Day 1- Spawn in, no idea what to do. Start punching random trees. Got resources. Crafted some tools. Run around some more gathering more stuff. Crafted a spear, decide to attack this big turtle. Get mutilated.

Day 2- Respawned close to where I died, run over grab all my stuff. Decide to play it safe, continue along the beach gathering resources. Very hot out, dehydrated. Run into the ocean. Duck underwater to see what it looks like, huge shark bearing down on me from the side. Panic, hit "defecate" button instead of sprint. Get eaten by huge shark with poo floating around me.

Day 3- Learned to avoid the deeper water and to follow the non-aggressive dinos to stay alive. Doing pretty good now, got a good amount of resources, extra spears, cloth armor. Not bad not bad. Night begins. Feeling a little disturbed by the limited visibility. Hearing lots of dino noises around me. Decide to light up a torch. T-Rex finishes feeding on the last remaining herd I was following along with. Turns right towards me and charges. Miraculously I dive into the water and swim out a tiny bit onto a rock. T-Rex loses interest. I wait there regaining health. Hear a splash, the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ croc I have ever seen jumps out of the water and eats me.

Day 4- Ok so this is getting a little repitive. Decide now I need to find a good spot and start building some stuff so I won't lose all my stuff every single time I die. Find a nice spot pretty well surrounded by rocks, trees and bushes also close to the beach for water. Excellent. Build up a little house, added some storage stashes! Finally with a base I feel invincible. Start crafting up plenty of spears and go out for some hunting. Randomly find a trike knocked out. Start feeding it, yeaaaa buddy. 75% tamed! Pack of raptors come tearing out of the forest. Manage to kill them all, but not before they killed the trike on their way past. Wander back to my house, curl up and cry myself to sleep to come back another day...





10/10 Would cry again
