I loved this game. I played it nonstop. The level of customization available gave something overwatch just didn't have. except for the issue of sometimes getting unfair matches (being paired with people waaaaaaaaaay higher levels than you), I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Until the last big update. THEY RUINED IT!!! YOU HEAR ME HI-REZ!!! YOU RUINED IT!!!!! They completely changed the card system so now everyone has every card, and instead of a balanced loadout, you can just infinity upgrade your cards, making gameplay EVEN MORE UNBALANCED THAN IT ALREADY WAS!!! OH AND IT GETS BETTER! GUESS HOW YOU UPGRADE CARDS? FLIPPING LOOT BOXES.
THAT'S IT. IM DONE! GOODBYE PALADINS.
GREAT JOB ON RUINING YOUR BEST GAME TO DATE HI-REZ!

"Games can't be art" is absolute garbage. This game belongs in a museum.

I need to change my review, based on a couple of very helpful commenters. (thank you Luckycrunch17, Holy Hell, and Fredster) This is a great and very well thought out game with very fluid controls and an intriguing mechanic most players are sure to enjoy.

This is, in my opinion, the best fighting game to be released for pc. The story mode is exellent, one of the best i've seen in a while. The combat is smooth, and while its easy to learn it there is plenty of combos and strategies for each character so higher up players have lots of content to experiment with.
But, if I had to pick a favorite thing about this game, it would be the arrow skin that comes with the ultimate edition. BEST SKIN EVER!!!!!

This game is NOT fun. its supposed to be difficult, I know, but this is insane. The levels aren't balanced, co-op couln't be worse, and Don't even get me started on the items.
levels- The levels will apparently, change difficluty at random. So just when you think you got the hang of things, BANG. Super powered minion comes out of nowhere and kills you.
co-op- ugh, the co-op. where to start, first of all, you have to stay in the same area, or its pretty much garunteed death. Unlike oher games that won't let you leave the screen, in risk of rain you can fall of a ledge and see nothing but an arrow indicating where you are...at least until you get killed by a monster YOU CAN'T SEE. in additon, I was disconnected several times... IN FLIPPING LOCAL CO-OP!!! HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN?!?!?
and Items- The game dosent give you any info on items. at all. You have to figure it out yourself. Was that random blue light just part of the background or was it a buff? which powerup did that explsion come from? I'LL NEVER KNOW!
unlocks-...HOW? I've played for half an hour with no unlocks, or indication of how to unlock things.
you know what? I'm done. I'm refunding this right now. It makes me angry to just think about it.

I take back everything I said earlier, this is actually a really good, although challenging, game.

Interesting golf game with a truckload of new ideas. I don't reccomend playing without a friend to infuriate though.

Exellent platforming game with an entertaining sense of humor.
I highly reecomend you buy it if it goes on sale.

This game was only somewhat fun at best. Most weapons are overpowered and have one hit kills, while others are hard to aim and do little to no damage. It was hard enough to play in half speed and i can't imaging trying to follow normal. Had this game offered more than just one mode if different forms (i.e kill enemy, kill enemy with one life so on and so forth) i might have found it fun. Alas it did not, so I must give it a bad review.
