I was hesitating first, at their business model, i did not play Hitman (2016) and still had bad feeling in my mouth about Hitman: Absolution how horrible mess it was...
but few of my friends coerced me to buy em both on sale.
And what a good decicion it was.

My first hitman experience was Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002) on ps2 i think, i spent days on grinding silent assassin on all levels.

And it was glorious.

Contracts and blood money continued giving good gameplay and value to the series.

I thought whole hitman was ruined when i tried absolute mess that was absolution.

Now, onto hitman 2, you can play first "season" on hitman 2 engine, and i have 0 hours on Hitman (2016) even tho i own the game, but for that reason, solely.

And hitman 2, melds not only both games, but previous established lore too, as a complete continuation of story.

Story is executed good, and its tbc at the time of writing this.

The gameplay itself: its very much of perfected style mixture:
bloodmoney/contracts/ hitman2: silent assassin and bit of absolution
(the hitman "sense" tho its not executed as bad)

Its fun to speedrun maps, and compete among friends.
As an older hitman player, i recommend this wholeheartedly.
9/10 would knockdown with fish again, dressed as a clown..
