After 30 minutes of play:

Very good game so far. The game looks amazing and handles really well.
The only complaints are the fact that the opening is instrumental and the game is capped at 30fps.

After completion:

Overall it was a solid game in the "Tales of" series but it is not the best nor is it the worst game from Bandai Namco. The complicated gear / skill system took away from the "fun-factor" that I'm used to when playing other games from the series.
I would still recommend this game as the upcoming Tales of Beseria looks to be an exciting prequal.
