STAR WARS REPUBLIC COMMANDO Is a squad based shooter where you control "Boss" and command your 3 other commandos; Scorch, Fixer and Sev. You are an elite squad that go behind enemy lines and do missions "ordinary" clones cannot.

I love this game to bits. In fact I loved it so much I did a review for this for my course work back in 6thform. This, as well as Battle front 2 (original) is my favorite star wars game to date. I had this on the original X-box and played it to absolute bits. (Thank you to my long time friend for giving me the game way back in the day). This game offers up tight gameplay where you control DELTA squad. You can command them to splice consoles/ doors, take up snipe positions and more.

As I mentioned previously, you control delta squad. The AI in this is pretty smart and never really lets you down... Apart from that one time one of them threw a thermal detonator into a corridor filled with explosives and promptly killed us all, as well as other times getting in the way of your shots. Other than those times the AI is extremely reliable. Even when you go down you can either command them to keep fighting and clear the area, or you can risk them reviving you and getting you back into the fight. This game, although there are no difficulty options will be difficult in some areas and offer a good as well as fair challenge. Even the enemy AI is good...

In this game you will go up against some classic Star Wars foes as well as some new-ish ones (you can kinda see them in the back ground of some fights in the films as well as the animated series. But new for the time). They will pose a challenge for you and often will result in you needing to make quick decisions and have to command your squad under pressure. I have even had moments where the enemy AI has flanked me and other wise "duped me HARD".

Although you only get to visit 3 planets... well, technically 2 planets and one
Venator-class (I think). Acclamator-class assault ship. Each are so distinct from the previous they are all memorable in there own way. Whether it be due to how the planet looks, or even the enemies you face on that planet, you will remember them.

Finally...
This game is 100% worth the purchase and you will have so much fun with it. The mechanics are good, the story is engaging and you actually care for your fellow commandos. With a price this low its definitely worth it, and although the graphics are (very) dated you can still appreciate the game. (Also you can mod it, so... GRAPHICS MODS!!!)
