A somehow interesting mod. There´s little lore, story isn´t the strong point, with the protagonist needing to retrieve The Artifact, a crystal, presumably used to open the portal to Xen.
The game takes place on a ship, where a highly intelligent creature has escaped containment, and released other alien enemies, killing nearly all of the crew and people in the ship.
The pros and good things on this mod: The maps are well done, having the right ammount of detail put into them, and there´s a good gameplay flow, you always know where to go.
Weapons are okay, i prefered the pistol over every other weapon, as it was more satisfying and relatively good to use. You won´t be using the crowbar a lot, you are provided with lots of ammo. The scientist that opens the latch near the end did not got stuck or bugged in my playtrough, something really apreciated.
Music, kinda simple, but there was some effort put into it. The cutscene at the beggining, while some might not like it due to it breaking the inmersion, was nicely done.
The cons:
At some points, you might not know what to do. I know that i said the opposite, but after returning from the control deck, i didn´t knew how to climb or get over the big red container with the houndeyes. Spended a while in there, ended up using noclip.
The boss fight at the end was kinda bland, using a somewhat poorly edited Nihilant model, that works as a barnacle. You lose your weapons when you enter the arena, something that is not explained why. However, the weapons can be found laying on the floor just in front of you. By the way, the arena is kinda simple, being just an open space for you to run while shooting at the final boss.

In conclusion, i think this mod deserves the "Mixed" reputation. Its a good mod, worth for one or two playtroughs. Might work as a Sven Co-op campaign.

It´s quite a fun game, but only if you take your time to learn how to play it. For starters, this game ain´t like your classic ol´ zombie massacre. If you try that, you´ll probably end up as their meal. You actually have to focus on surviving, getting fresh food and water, supplies, weapons, and more. It can be obviously frustrating when your 3 month character is brutally torn apart by flesh-eating bastards, however. The main "mantra" of the game is "This is how you died", meaning that: 1, the smallest mistake can get you killed, and 2, you will commit a mistake and get killed.
The only end goal of the game is to survive as long as possible before inevitably dying. There is no "Story Mode" or a specific goal to reach that will get you a "Congratulations! You finished the game" screen. Wich, can be quite unattractive for some players. On the other hand, you can make and roleplay your own story, wich is something that probably 3/4 of the players do. Pretty much like Minecraft or Terraria.
The combat and action are not that common, but constant. At some point in the game, you will have to face a zed. Other times, the best course of action is to escape.
Graphics are definitely not very detailed, but they look quite good and fit with the whole aesthetic of the game.
Bugs are somehow uncommon, but extremely infuriating, usually. You can lose a character by a faulty hitbox, sometimes the game can be a little bbit unoptimized, etc.
The difficulty of the game. oh man, it´s quite brutal, even at some lower difficulties. Getting the hang of the game can be quite hard both to learn and master, especially if you are expecting your tipical L4D-C0D:Z gameplay. As i previously mentioned, sometimes you have to fight, other times you have to flee. Firearms are definitely not a good choice, since you´ll end up swarmed and with no round in the chamber pretty quickly.
I´ve lost a great majority of characters trying to go full Doom Slayer mode. While the danger of zeds is pretty damn big, you also have other concerns, again, as i previously mentioned, you need fresh, nutritive food, clean water, supplies (medical, ammo, tools, building materials, etc.).

TLDR: Don´t expect shooty-shooty zombie game. Hard game. If you master hard game, hard game becomes rewarding game. Takes time to learn.

Also, press Q, if you can. Quite usefull.

Its a pretty unique game, it consist mainly of "How fast can you spam attacks and dodge at the same time?". Its more like a game to kill some time, and it can get really addictive.
The only problem i have with this game is the lack of updates, and the fact that is probably dead. Still, its very entertaining, and it delivers.

One of the best expansion pack ever made. This time, you play as the Corporal Adrian Shepard, one of the many soldiers sent to "clean up" the big mess that created Gordon Freeman in Black Mesa after the resonance cascade. The mapping its amazing, models are great, and for the first time i enjoy playing without HD models on. Yeah, OP4 CTF its a bit dead, but in its golden age it had very full servers.

This game is actually quite enjoyable, i recommend it.
