A very fun, interesting game. Brings nostalgia of the good days of zombie survival RTS games of the past (wc3 mods, sc mods, ect).

One of the GOAT of multiplayer swordplay with a sick twisted sense of comaraderie and humor involved. Advised to dedicate a bit of time to learn the mechanics to beat the steep learning curve after lvl 16. 1160 hours n counting, lot of replay value.

I purchased this game a while back, I don't remember quite when. I played maybe 10 hours of the game and got bored. This was before they implemented a majority of the new features they have now. Let me first say that I am completely fascinated with the idea of wilderness survival games such as this. While you are defending yourself against droves of naked cannibals, you are also facing the unforgiving brutality of mother nature. As the others have said, the developers of this game are actually comitted to further advancing this game and listening to their player base. A lot of alpha independent games are not like this at all. I've been burned many times the past few years, but I can say with The Forest it's nothing like it at all. There are bugs, but the bugs are very minute and fixable. For an alpha version it is quite livable.
