As a lifelong RPG fan, *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33* has completely captivated me, offering 60 hours of unforgettable gameplay. Sandfall Interactive’s debut expertly blends classic JRPG charm with bold French-inspired creativity in the stunning world of Lumière.

The story weaves themes of loss, hope, and resilience into an emotional narrative. The Expedition 33 crew—including Gustave, Maelle, and Lune—felt like close friends, and the stellar voice acting, especially by Charlie Cox, added incredible depth to their journey.

The combat system merges turn-based strategy with real-time mechanics, requiring precision for dodges and combos. It’s both strategic and exhilarating, and customizing my party’s skills and gear was a joy. The free-aim system kept battles dynamic even after extensive play.

Visually, the game is breathtaking, with Unreal Engine 5 creating enchanting landscapes. Lorien Testard’s soundtrack, featuring haunting strings and French vocals, is pure magic.

Overall, *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33* is a triumph—smart, heartfelt, and great replayable. It’s a 10/10 and a must-play for RPG fans. I can’t wait for Sandfall Interactive’s next adventure!

I hope developers sit up and take note, the modern audience is a lie. This is a richly build game inside the world of Chinese Mythology. Only bells and whistles and no needless injections of Diversity Equity or inclusion. I have only plays a couple hours now and it is just a great game that immerses you into a world filled with fun, great combat and an all around great experience.

Micro transactions on a AAA single player game. The micro transactions are dumb, but mods are out to cure whats ailing. The game its self other than performance issues was very fun to play.

I purchased this game the day it came out to early access in 2020 for full price. It was a gamble then in the hopes they would do it right. I played, what was then, a very minimal first chapter fell in love with it and set it aside. As much as I wanted to keep playing and help testing, I would have long burnt out before it every released. So, I set it aside for 3 years and waited. The wait was well worth it.

The game is a lot fun to play. It has some issues but is in better shape than many AAA titles. I am not nearly finished playing the first play though, but its been great so far.
