Edit: probably obvious but play with controller.

Not a hardcore DBZ fan, but if you thought the series was cool as a kid you'll probably love this game anyways.
Has good boss fights, unfortunately there's no level scaling until post game which means you can trivialize bosses later in the game by outlevelling them.

New game+ would be such a good feature to this game, it's a shame they have a different system without level scaling instead. You can replay the story or complete missed subquests but oneshot everything. In my opinion you're better off just starting a new game if you want to replay the story.

DLC (Beerus and Frieza) are not great. The boss fights (very few, basically 1 per DLC, 2 in the 2nd DLC) are good but the method to reach their level is lazy and not particularly fun or challenging.

Overall I really enjoyed this game and think it's worth the money (excluding DLC). Will probably leave you wishing for more.

Interesting sequel to Thea 1's game mechanics: islands, choosing where to build your village (if you choose to build one at all), new classes, new races, new gods, abilities and combat mechanics.
RNG allows for plenty of replayability, it's pretty much a rogue-like strategy game.

Story wise the game isn't as long as Thea 1 currently. Thea 1 did add a bunch of quests later in the game and since the devs have the same attitude towards Thea 2 as they did the prequel, I believe more content will be added.

Can't wait for the new game!

It's important that you play with the ARROW keys (and wqsd/space/ctrl/alt) and not with the mouse if you don't have a controller. Otherwise you're going to have a BAD time.

Also, if the video angle acts weird, meaning that the camera sometimes stays put as your craft flies out of sight, you have to press F1 or change to a more appropriate camera angle that doesn't bug out.

If you can get past these few "hiccups" and enjoyed the old games, you'll probably enjoy this one too!

Bucket helmet was the only thing positive about this game.
