Bethesda being Bethesda.
ZERO RESPECT given to the community, mostly modders.

This is what happened:

1) They make a VERY good game, which is called Skyrim - it had some terrible bugs, which were all fixed by some unofficial patches, all FOR FREE, done by people that LOVE(D) the game!!!!!
It was not Bethesda that fixed the bugs (some game breaking), it was not Skyrim Special Edition. It was a whole bunch of good willed folks, a great community;
2) Community works FOR FREE to add THOUSANDS of mods that make the game a masterpiece, each player being able to tailor the game exactly to their likings - more animals, more sounds, more quests, bug fixes, more items, ANYTHING you could dream of was available FOR FREE, or you could just make it yourself, due to great community engagement and tools;
3) The game sells even more A LOT DUE the great modding community;
4) Instead of praising and endorsing the BEST free modding community, they SPIT ON THEIR FACES, THEIR WORK and try to CASHCOW as much as they can with this so called "Creation Club";

What they did:

1) Add Paid mods, which are somewhat rip-offs of already available mods;
2) They disable achievements if you enable "community made mods" - "oh, who cares about achievements?" Some people actually do!!!!
3) Start to add some medium quality mods and try to boost their new "great safe system" called Creations Club;

Really??
BIG thumbs down!!!

PS: I have around 150 hours played in "old" skyrim (non-SE), all played with great mods, made for FREE by a great community!!!

SHOW SOME RESPECT TO THOSE THAT HELPED YOU RISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RESPECT YOUR MODDERS!
RESPECT YOUR COMMUNITY!!
RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS!!

I went in blind to Skyrim, having never played it before. Saw all the reviews praising the game. Played for 20 mins. I can't stand this. So buggy, can't even escape the keep without gamebreaking bugs.WTF Bethesda. I requested a refund. They don't deserve my money.

imagine being as retarded as that wolf guy, and thinking survival mode isn't a rip-off of literally all the better survival mods we already had.

Great review, don't let yourselves get fucked over by these dumb and greedy marketing ploys, especially when they're so blatant. No need to defend the most obvious cashgrab.

It is my own personal opinion that the benefits of the Creation Club to developers, to consumers, and to Bethesda itself, massively outweighs the drawbacks of what a large part of the community seem to insist — **despite the vast pile of proof otherwise** — is "Paid Mods with another name". Because no, it is *not* that.

Also, on the same very page, Bethesda provide multiple explanations of exactly how Creation Club works. One of these explanations states the following: "Creators are required to submit documentation pitches which go through an approval process. **All content must be new and original.** [...] Creations go through our full development pipeline, which Creators participate in. [...] This ensures compatibility with the original game, official add-ons and achievements."

Creation Club gives external content creators the full backing of Bethesda in creating their content, going through the same development process that Bethesda go through for internal content creation and release.

"1) Add Paid mods, which are somewhat rip-offs of already available mods;"
Fun fucking fact that is listed on their own website: mods that already exist **are not allowed to be added to the Creation Club**. Concepts that already exist as free mods **are not allowed to be added to the Creation Club**.

On the page {LINK REMOVIDO} under "Is Creation Club paid mods?", Bethesda explicitly state the following: "We won't allow any existing mods to be retrofitted into Creation Club, it must all be original content." That is, they will **not** allow people to, as you state, "rip off already available mods" and upload them to Creation Club or do the same themselves.

1: Ok I agree with this part
2: For free? As far as I know a lot of big mods REQUIRED money, so...
3: Not really. People like me brought the game because it's a singleplayer fantasy game with cool stuff. Not mods.
4: Well...yes and no

And now for the next "1234" points

1: if it was taken and improved, it's not a rip-off. Otherwise the entire MMO market is a freaking rip-off fest (even before WOW)
2: That's why I got every achievement in the game and THEN tried some mods (which weren't really impressive, but I guess it was something)
3: Ok here you are right.

And for the last message: They're a company. They don't need to care about the community. It can certainly help them get some more money, but if they want to get money by other means- no one's stopping them. That's their job.

minecraft is far worse they just left computer minecraft to die after some updates and stole some of the best community mods such as shaders and sold it as a dlc "super duper graphics pack" in other words its basicly a combination of all the best shaders and claimed as theirs with only a couple words that it was"only available for pc to get shader mods" plus they now are making new minecraft versions purely for money
