Super attacks are different though, obviously.
I had an entirely different experience though. I played primarily with one friend and occassionally with two. Even early on, Provie and Glenn (speed and combo) play entirely differently from Paul and Mike (Grappling).
My review doesn't mention any glitches, I don't think I encountered any.
All the characters play very similarly in the early game, changing character wouldn't have made much of a difference.
Grinding isn't fun. I don't want to have to grind for an hour to start having fun. With 4 people playing, there's a lot of grinding to do.
Grind near the most effective place for your chosen stats that you'd like to increase. Outside Chicken Burder is a great place. There's a hideout nearby and the stat boosts are pretty even for not much cash. Get enough money to buy what you want and then rush inside to buy your food. You don't lose items at death and you can't lose money that you've already spent.
That being said, I understand your frustration. It's been four months now since it came out and despite various adjustments to make the game more bearable, not much has been done in the way of polish.
Many people reported (in various steam forums) that they got games refunded after the 2 hour limit.
You just have to be nice and don't write your refund-reason like a raging maniac.
Than this is, in fact, a lie.
I got 2 games refunded above 2 hours.
One was around 2 hours and 30 minutes (some roguelike) and I just stated, that this game was so repetitive that I missed the refund-time. And that the EA-game was endless didn't help.
The second game was "ARK" and it was between 3 and 4 hours.
I just said, that I has to test and optimize the game cause it runs like a$$ and cause of that, I had to make the game shut-down several times.
And cause of that, I stuck most of my "playtime" in loading screens.
VERY strict policy my left testicle...
