What's there to say?

Man of Medan is the first installment of Supermassive Games' new IP, The Dark Pictures Anthology.
The premise is simple, its Until Dawn on a haunted ghost ship. Your decisions affect the story and you must try your best to keep 5 characters alive.

The characters were..... acceptable, there isn't much you can do in terms of character development in the short run time of 5 to 7 hours. The voice acting was of a high quality, the animations were clean and crisp and I didn't notice any bugs. The game is incredibly linear, you feel a sense of claustrophobia as you try to navigate the the bowels of the rusted and derelict ship.

The premise of the game is based on an urban legend. I recommend reading about the fate of the Ourang Medan. To put a long story short, the ship was declared missing in the Dutch East Indies, the entire crew was declared dead without any obvious combat wounds. The common consensus seems to be either carbon monoxide poisoning, or most likely a chemical weapons leak.
The crew were found with clear signs of fright on their faces.

Would I recommend this game? For its full price of 29.99? I don't think that I can do that.
While the game boasts a decent amount of replayability, the main strength of the game, namely its horror aspect, wears off during repeat playthroughs. I would recommend this game for 15.99 or lower.

Overall this is a highly polished game with beautiful graphics and scenery with its one main letdown being the length of the story.

Buy it on sale.
