Amazing game when you get the hang of the complex strategies and figure out how it all works. Obviously, there are some minor downsides, but the biggest problem I have with this game is that soon after it is halfway played, it becomes obvious whether you are going to win or not. And as the turns get longer and longer with multiple units and cities to manage, the game becomes dull, and you ask yourself if it's just a waste of time playing it to the end (it is). Hopefully this game or its sequel will be developed in a way that makes the gameplay more engaging throughout. I don't really care about expansions that make the game weirder and more complicated, just fix this main issue.
