New World looks cool, the world, the maps, the sound design, all very nice. But that’s pretty much where the fun ends.

The grind system is painful. Every time I log in, I feel like I’ve wasted time and achieved absolutely nothing. Quests are miles apart, walking is endless (still no mount? seriously?), and when you finally get there, it's another copy-paste mission. The mobs? Hilarious. Same creatures with slightly different names and colors. Creative.

There's barely any content, no memorable NPCs, no engaging lore, nothing to make you care. Crafting? A nightmare. So many materials just to make one basic item, and the level required is absurd. It’s not rewarding, it’s ridiculous.

The game economy is already broken from deflation crisis, in MMOs it's common for the market to be in crisis when the game begins to lose the player base, usually by inflation where prices rise a lot, New World went straight into deflation. The market is so dead that people prefer bartering over selling stuff no one wants to bother putting things up for sale because it’s just not worth it. So yeah, go grind 300 iron ore to craft something worthless that no one will buy

And what’s up with the storage system? You have to run to specific cities just to grab your own items. No central bank, no shared access, just a dumb system that forces more walking. It’s like they designed it specifically to waste your time.

Combat? Meh. Skills don’t flow, animations are clunky, movement feels stiff. PvE and PvP both suffer because it just doesn’t feel good to play. You never feel powerful or smooth just stuck in mud.

And let’s not forget: you don’t even start near your friends. In an MMO. What genius thought random spawn locations were a good idea? No, really.

The closer you get to level 60, the more boring it becomes. Endgame? More like the game ending. In MMOs, hitting max level usually means the real fun begins, not here. You just realize how small and empty the world actually is, now that you’ve unlocked all the fast travel points and seen everything worth seeing (which isn’t much).

Some people say, “It gets better after 100 hours.”
Yeah? If someone invited you to an amazing place but said you’d need to wait 100 hours to enjoy it , would you go?

Don’t be a fool.
If a game doesn’t hook you in the first hour, it’s just not for you.
