Thoroughly enjoying this FTP game. it's still a tad rough around the edges, however it has that classic BF arcade feel to it with decent movement. Every kill is satisfying especially when you 180 and they hurl abuse at you in chat.

The downscaled, 2'd tree version of MSC.

If you want a game like My Summer car that is not My Summer Car because My Summer Car wants you to gouge your eyes out with a rusty spoon and give it to your pet lizard. Get This.. as the pain is slightly less..repetitive.

All time favourite!

EDIT: After playing for 10 years, I still find myself returning to this game. There is nothing else like this, the labour of love from the developers is so out field compared to large company's spitting out title after title in record time.

The community that surrounds this game have been the pinnacle of my gaming life, the people that I have met and have remained is what makes this game so special to me.

Well, being an avid PC builder myself, i theoretically should find this game tedious, yet it's quite the opposite.

I dived into this with not very high expectations thinking (This will probably be one of those ambitious simulators) but i was massively mistaken!

The visuals of the game are very appealing to the eye, attention to detail is fantastic!

Visuals - 9/10

Performance - 7/10 (Some avid random frame drops for no reason and when you have all three desks filled with PC's, frame drops once more)

Realism - 7/10

Would definitely love to see Water cooling elements, SSD's, M.2 and newer generation of CPU's, GPU's and various other components on the market today!

Great work, keep it up!

Highly recommend this title if you are looking for something with that comedy aspect.

Having friend or foe fly at such speed and distance when being greeted by a cannonball is very amusing, along with the stress of loading, repairing and boarding ships. Definitely a keeper in terms of sinking your teeth into some action.

Pro's:
- Aesthetics: Are top notch, for such a small team, they have really produce high quality visual, very beautiful.

- Play with friends: Nothing say's "Arrg" more than being assembled on a single ship with all your friends, using teamwork side by communications to be victorious.

- Comedy Aspect: As i mentioned above, seeing bodies fly across the open sea's from cannons is very amusing!

- Slow down game play: Other than our usual day to day basis of fast paced FPS titles, Blackwake introduces a slow paced FPS to it's player base, so time those cannon reloads right, if not, you may find yourself sinking below the depths of the open sea.

Con's:
- Connection: Understandable, this title is still Early Access, so expect some connection issue's, but are due to improve upon progression.

- Registration: What i mean here is there can be a delay in terms of assaulting that scally pirate with your trusty sword, or those precise swivel shots don't seem to register at all, again still early access, so don't expect a finish product as of yet!


Ending on a good note, this is very refreshing title to have come across, highly recommended to groups of players looking for something to improve Communication & teamwork. Now, where did i place me rum.
