Turn-Based Hardcore Dungeon Crawler with Tarkov & Doom-like Elements where you arent the Doomguy at least at first. Kill, Loot, Die, Learn, Kill again, Survive. Tons of enemy types compared to the demo, tons of new Weapons, new Mission System, new Classes, new operatives with different stats with each having one special stat to try out.

Very much in the early stages of development, it got pushed back from its original Early Access Release because they wanted to add more comparatively to the beta, and they genuinely added ALOT in those few months, Super excited to see where the Roadmap takes the game and I wholeheartedly suggest you give this game a try if you like Top-Down Turnbased Roguelikes & want game that tests your noodle in regards to not dying.

Also if you really wanna be crazy like myself, Delete your save after your PMC dies! I force myself to restart EVERYTIME if I die. The reviews of people saying its too hard are people who genuinely want a casual experience, and this game IS NOT A CASUAL EXPERIENCE!

my personal rating for GTFO on its Early Access release is 7/10 an average game that sets out to create an immersive & tactical atmosphere that pits you & up to 3 other players together into a rather simple core game play loop of Retrieving something and extracting after retrieving the mission objective(s) GTFO has a few very interesting & enjoyable design choices that make the game extremely fun. Experiencing a mission for the first time in GTFO is the most enjoyable & disheartening experience the game has to offer, Players have to work methodically through each room in environments that get darker & more compact. Each room seems to have differing monster layouts so one mission will never be exactly the same, but they will still have you doing the same basic fetch quest. The biggest positives I see in the game is the extreme difficulty that the game presents its player base with & how each group will find different ways to tackle each encounter on their way to finish the core game play loop & the stealth mechanics that are simple to learn but the average group will screw up a few times each mission inevitably causing a swarm of enemies to attack the group unexpectedly & causing them to beg for ammo refills for their weapons or some tool refills for their special items like refilling turret ammo or giving your mine deployer one or two more uses. The game is unforgiving & the core gameplay has alot of great ideas meshed competently together, however, the game lacks any form of reward other than beating said missions. Currently the game lacks any reason to feel involved with your character, no feeling of earning something, getting gear that could help you in the future, no feeling of excitement after clearing a mission a 2nd time. Personally the game needs to keep its hardcore style but players need to earn their items, gather materials or excess ammo & usable items for future missions maybe even keeping with the hardcore aspects & resetting players inventory when their player character dies in the middle of a mission, making squads try harder, feel a massive impact on their game play & work their way up from the start. but that is for the game devs and the community as a whole to decide upon. Currently I would say the game is a wait to buy until further work has been done to keep players engaged & feel like they're making progress in other forms than just simply finishing one of the few missions available at the moment. but if you can look past that and want a game to immerse yourself in & have friends who already have the game then definitely give it a shot & join the GTFO Discord to give suggestions to the developers & meet new people as you learn the basics of the game. On one final note, make sure your flashlights are turned off & dont put yourself in 6 hours of pain trying to do these missions 100% alone, they're almost impossible.... almost.

Fallout sincerely needs to revamp its design decisions, Fallout as a series represents a dire and dark experience of a post apocalyptic with creatures we couldnt imagine existing someday. Old fallout showcased a world that made challenged you along your path, and new fallout caters to you and disallows you from making decisions or see the darker side of the Post apocalyptic world around them, none of the expected prostitution, sex, childkilling, or other horrible choices that would likely exist in a real Fallout Scenario. Maturity is not the key focus in these games but instead the opposite. making choices seem either inately evil in dialog or painting you as a White night, and few choices inbetween, Fallout is a classic series that deserves to thrive, and honestly requires its original vision to be understood again. Bethesda can create a RPG again, not a FPS but a Game that allows the player to enjoy a truly diverse and harse world. instead of this Basic Shooter with hints of the past and shrouded moral choices that really do make fallout... fallout. This game does not age well. 5/10, Recommended to fans who have not experienced many fallout games, but not to fans of Fallout: New Vegas, or fallout 1 and 2. watered down, doting and soft. compared to the harse reality that Post Apocalypes could really be.
