At launch I was uncertain about this game. I knew I had to get it but there was so much hype it was hard to not jump on it. As most say, launch was not great. I sank some hours into space, building a base and most the main story but it was not until I returned to it almost 9 months later that I really enjoyed it. The updates released since launch are great, not just fixing bugs but introducing community mods as well as new content and - importantly - the ability to have a vehicle and not play walking simulator forever on every planet! I enjoyed the Shattered Space expansion as well.

There is enough stability, content and enjoyment that I can recommend this game.

This game had me. The environment. The atmosphere. The sound. The horror elements. It had me spooked walking around the eerie interior of Fort Solis. It's a relatively short game and I completed my first play through in about 7 hours I think. Probably possible to finish it faster as well but there's plenty of places to explore and enjoy the visuals. I'm also a completionist so hard to check every corner of the world! And the spooky music slowed me down at times!

Absorbs more of my hours these days than other multiplayer games. Genuinely enjoyable and replayable but definitely most enjoyable when you can bring friends. I only wish you could have >3 on a squad at a time.

Second in the franchise only to Alien Isolation

On the whole it's fun. But the sheer amount of bugs let it down, especially compared to the first one. At a cheaper price point I'd recommend this but at £50 the product is not up to scratch. Techland have their work cut out to get the vast array of bugs and technical issues fixed for this to be a recommended game at £50, especially on PC format where it cannot be traded in like on Console versions.

Also, why the hell is the prologue 2 hours long. And you cannot do Co-op gameplay until after the prologue. At which point if you don't like the co-op gameplay, including its annoying as hell buggyness, you're stuck unlikely to get a refund because you've "played it too long".

Nice trap there, Steam/Techland. GG.

Game had promise when I first played it years ago but sadly has been abandoned by developers. It should be taken off the steam store as it's no longer in development.

This game has great potential and is already enjoyable in its Early Access. Had hours of fun already so far both solo and with friends. An excellent modern game that reminds you of SWAT 4 and makes you think before you rush in!

It's okay, only 50% as cancerous as playing CSGO.

This is the best game in the franchise. It has all the right elements of horror from the original film, the setting, visuals, soundtrack, and an exciting and continually engaging story arc. My one recommendation? Play this game only at night, in the dark, with surround sound headphones and volume turned up. It can be truly immersive and frightening. Don't be tempted to reduce difficulty, this is meant to be scary and the attack on your senses only adds to the excitement.

Fans of the franchise, particularly the first Alien film, will love the levels that pay so much homage to that movie. Sevastopol station hosts some beautiful visuals and areas to explore. Just try to avoid any unwanted guests ruining your tour!
