100-hour GAME REVIEW

Planetbase is a base-building game which makes you think on how to plan your infrastructure placement and how to achieve self-sufficiency starting with only a few colonists and/or bots. It might seem repeatitive, building base and making it self-sufficient. But there are some achivements that you might want to accomplish.

At the time of writing this review, the game is currently not updated for a long time now. Which sucks because there are various mechanics in the game that needs some updating, as well as more new content.

The colonist AI is a bit clunky. It works but you have to work your way around it.

The game need some rework on few components, as well as additional contents.
For example, they should implement a Technology Tree for upgrading purposes. Like upgrading the lame old dorm to have its own oxygen generators and can equip lighting rods/solar panels, or upgrading the walkways to moving walkways for faster movement along habs, or add a new type of guard robot, which can help fend off intruders. Currently, I'd say buy it during Steam Sale. It's kinda not worth buying it at full price right now.

OVERALL JUDGEMENT

Rating -> 7/10

I still recommend this game. The game is good albeit not updated for a long time. It might get boring after a few hours (20+hrs lol), but you can go away and go back to it after some time.
