Stellaris is a great game. It offers all the wonder and excitement of space exploration with a bus load of elements to micro manage. You manage your planets, your expiration ships, your navy, your research, and your relationship with all the other empires you've encountered. All put together, it's the ultimate "let me just do one more thing, and then I'll stop" game and more than once I've played until the early hours of the next day.

That said, the learning curve is a bit steep. That's one of my favorite things about it, and I've never felt confused about things, but it takes time to learn how to design a good mix of ships and get everything working together efficiently. Also, if micromanagement isn't your thing, when your Empire grows to large to manage by yourself, you can break it into "sectors" and have them autopilot the buildings and population to.

This game is definitely not for everyone, but it's an instant classic in my book. 10/10
