Beat the game. Still doing regular stuff following the beat.

10/10 will probably need therapy to stop the beat.

Easily the best RTS to come out in quite some time now.

Great metroidvania. Relies on a good usage of time stop and time slow to avoid all manner of over-the-top skills and bullet hells, making almost every boss fight feel incredible. The main protagonist's running animation can be off-putting, but at least I tend to focus more on the enemies than my own character.

If you are looking for an amazing retro "rip and tear" or just looking to experience back the best of 90s shooters, this is THE game.
It might be a bit too fast at the beginning, but as soon as you get the hang of it (which is around the first ~5 mins), it doesn't stop feeling incredible. The speed, variety of weapons and enemies, the scenarios they put you through, it's just too much to ever feel bored. You'll be left waiting for more chapters or a Dusk 2... I mean, I know I am.

Note: Got the game via my Kickstarter Pledge, so it wasn't really for free, but kind of?

Thought it wouldn't be more than an appetizer for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, or a small nostalgia trip that was made almost for fun... I was wrong. The game captures the gameplay of old Castlevania games perfectly while adding more to it and adding some replayability, and while the game is certainly kinda short and easier to play (even in "Veteran") than the old Castlevania games, with that price tag and that bit of extra replayability, I'd say it is value for money, but that's my opinion.

Edit: just found out that other than the obvious replayability, unlocking Nightmare Mode (and the next Mode), not only adds extra difficulty to the bosses, but also advances the story more than just a re-run taking different paths, so pretty cool imo.

Early Access Review
NOTE: Have in mind that even though Steam says I played 300+ hours, I played about 30 hours worth of what a normal human being would call "actual playtime". Why? please read.

As far as the Early Access goes, this is a game that should be in Mobile Devices and worth as much as, incredible amounts of grinding and the best game to compare it with, is FarmVille, but without the microtransactions... at the moment?

At the moment, It is a landscape editor with funny little animations of Slender Man-like people building villages...your work? other than edit the land to make some space for your little guys to do all the work, you'll have to dig holes to look for resources like wood, no... no chopping down trees or telling your guys to do it for you, the wood, fire, pelts and more cards (yes, cards) are only found in chests hidden underground (it would do way better with resource gathering, like Age of Empires) these are used as requirements for upgrades, usually new buildings... and you need to click over every single house to collect their "Belief", yes, one by one, every 5 or so minutes (I've had to click over more than 50 buildings), yes there are ways to make it easier, but they increase in cost the more you build, which increases the grinding, but at least it would be harder to develop carpal tunnel, anyway the Belief is the resource used to build statues, use powers and more.

I don't really want to get into deeper detail since it is in Early Access and a lot of this stuff could be no more than place holders for better stuff that is in its way... at least I hope so, because this is no fun like this and absolutely not worth those $20. So better give it some time, unless completely sure about buying it.

For more information you can check TotalBiscuit's Alpha Strike: http://youtu.be/j0Y4OtDEfKA or NerdCubed's video: http://youtu.be/4aOjycc0YTI and I'm sure there are more videos about it

Amazing game!
Several improvements to the old DotA, great graphics as well as nice models for a lot of heroes, thank god it keeps the same mechanics... still the best Action-RTS out there as well as the most competitive focused of its genre

-Access to the full Hero pool (yeah, no buying a hero to be able to use it)
-The Store sell Cosmetic items at a reasonable price and Battle Point Boosters (XP Boosters) only and you can get the cosmetics for free by playing and Leveling up your account
-The Account Level up system is there to give you a free cosmetic every level up, to function as a requirement to enter the Ranked MatchMaking and to let people know how much have you played... no it doesn't give you access to stuff that could affect your performance in the game, like the Masteries and Runes pages do with LoL
-A lot of holiday events where you can get free cosmetics and have some fun
-A LOT of highly competitive focused features as well as a great tutorial and Coach feature to help new players catch up with the more experienced players
-Very small patches (an occasional big patch with a great amount of extra features, fixes, balance changes and more) and short server downtimes
-And all of this and more in Steam which is an amazing gaming platform

what else could you ask for? must play!
