A game where American servers are filled with Arabics saying such things as "I f**ked your mother", Chinese people that don't speak English, and teammates that almost never listen, mostly because they don't speak your language.

11/10 would be told that I have no mother again.

Challenging fun which brought the Payday series into fruition.

I didn’t own this game when it was still the f**king s**t, but I can’t help but acknowledge the origin of one of my favorite games, Payday 2.

You can beat the game in just about 2 hours, and it only came out like a few months after the previous installment.

A mindf**k of a story that does it’s job and executes it well.

Oh, it’s also really fun and stuff.

Oh, you can also make your own levels and campaigns, which has lead to experiences better than the original story.

Oh, and it’s only 15 dollars.

Need I say more?

CS:GO Review
Mostly anti-consumer practices and changes that just made my head hurt. The game has also lost its charm and I’ve moved on to other ventures since. I doubt Valve will be able to breathe new life into this game after the reveal of...

“...Artifact.”

Let's get started. Wew.

+I liked the gameplay choices that were made.
+The maps felt well-designed.
+I liked the idea of bringing a Black Mesa guard with you.
+Some (really stressing the word SOME) of the sound design was pretty good.

-You can abandon the Security Guard behind locked doors.
-Some of the textures looked muddy.
-Quite a reasonable bit of the weapon sound design made me feel nauseous.
-While playing, for some reason the security guard stopped shooting for a reasonable chunk of the game.

Now that that's done, time for le verdict.

I wouldn't say stay away, but I ALSO wouldn't say that this is a masterpiece.

If there was a "Meh" option, I would put it, but since most of the flaws are based around bugs and sounds, NOT actual gameplay, I'll go ahead and recommend it.

Hoo, boy. There is a LOT of stuff in this mod.

Like, too much.

It took me an entire DAY just to type up Combine enemy types and strategies to beat them for a guide I'm making, and I still need to cover the other 3 enemy types, THEN I need to cover weapons, THEN I need to cover ITEMS...

It's a lot of stuff, yet I still hunger for more content.

If the player wants more of what you're making, then that's a sign that it's good.

Anyways, on to the actual review.

+Large enemy variety.
+Good sound design (For the most part...)
+I highly enjoyed the weapon variety.
+The new enemies were good editions, specifically the Elite Metropolice and Elite Ace.

-The Combine spawn in too large of numbers for it to ever be possible to even kill 200 on Normal.
-I encountered a glitch where the game would crash if I flicked from one enemy to another while using bullet time.
-Frames drop at inopportune moments.
-Activating bullet time before accessing the shop makes everything move faster than it would normally, making it harder if you're trying to buy batteries or healthkits, since your health is generally going down faster, requiring you to buy more medkits and more batteries.

Despite the flaws, I can look past them and still see that this game is REALLY freaking fun.

Which is why I don't understand the Mixed Reviews label.

Rewriting this review now so it's actually a review.

Fast-paced action gameplay with a pinch of RPG progression elements in it.

Am I forgetting something...?

OH YEAH, STEALTH.

Unless you really enjoy stealth games, don't do this to yourself. It's not all that good.

Insurgency is going to be a hard beast to tackle, but I'm going to attempt it anyways.
Insurgency has a similar kind of game aspect to games like Counter-Strike, but the maps are more open-ended and the graphics are better. Sometimes, the game had me fully immersed in it's world, and with each shot I took, I panicked. I knew my character would not make it through the battle, but I had to push through.

Enough about the aesthetic, let's look at the pros and cons, because THAT'S an original idea.
Pros: One or two well-placed shots can kill you in an instant. Game can have you immersed in it's environment. The tutorial teaches you how to play the game in a way similar to that of CS:GO's, but ends with you having to test your knowledge of combat against an ambush by the Insurgents. Team coordination is key. Voice acting is done incredibly well. The NVGs in the game have the added effect of blinding you if you look at any source of light (room lighting, gun flashlights, or flares).
The game has multiple diverse ranks that change your load out depending on your rank. An added adrenaline effect causes your vision to blur and aim to shake if you are being suppressed.
Con(s): The people online feel more like making random noises that cooperating.

All in all, a game you should really consider. Wholly recommended on my book.
