The combat in this game is frustratingly imprecise, where certain enemy monsters have AoE attacks that seem to hit way outside their visual representation (Spriggan from Blood and Wine expansion comes to mind). The mount seems to get stuck on all sorts of low walls, thin trees, and short ledges, which makes it cumbersome to use unless you are in a large, open, flat area.

I'd still recommend it despite those things.

This is NOT an asset flip; this is a fully designed and produced standalone game which uses the same engine and some of the same textures of Skyrim. Be warned, there's 3 or 4 'false starts' to this game which serve as backstory for your character and the main quest. Once you get started, it's worth it. Character design, dialogue, world building, environment design, dialogue options, and game mechanics are all very well done. Combat is nearly identical to, well, Skyrim, but that's to be expected due to this being a (total conversion) mod. In summary, this feels like a fresh new fantasy world ripe for exploration and, dare I say, sequels?

I haven't played a ton of action games but this feels like a blending of a more forgiving Dark Souls and Tomb Raider, in the first person. There is very little downtime in the demo so if the fully developed game is anything like this was, start injecting your red bull now.

It's the Shrek 3 of the borderlands franchise, right after that flash game they made.
5/8 stars.

This is probably the greatest game I've ever played. And I've played Shrek 2 the video game.
