Finally Warhammer fans made a game that properly showcases the sheer scale and majesty of Imperial architecture and its uncountable foes.

I would like the ability to play as Firstborn Astartes, to show the difference between them and the Primaris.

I would also like to showcase the Adepta Sororitas in this engine or as additional DLC.

Update: 6 May 2024: Sony has rescinded their requirement to force PSN account linking. I am now changing my review back to positive, all other statements stand.

Update 3 May 2024: Due to false advertising, Sony is now making moves to mandate the making of a third party (PSN) account, which was not part of the EULA I signed when downloading the game. Screw Sony, their corporate greed and their ♥♥♥♥ metrics. I won't be a part of it.

If Sony forces ArrowHead to pull the trigger on this, I will be requesting a refund at that time.

Now that the servers are fixed, I’m doing my part to develop PTSD on Malevelon Creek.

I mean to spread managed democracy one airstrike at a time.

I bought this for the classic strategy look, like Advance Wars and that it functioned well on the Deck.

What I got was my new benchmark for how strategy RPGs are meant to work. This, this is an army simulator to surpass that other series I literally cannot think of, this is so awesome.

I eagerly await more content for this game.

I eagerly await more of this game (sequel).

I eagerly await mods for this game or a random encounter generator like the arenas or what have you.

I sorely regret I have but one review to leave for this gem.

>Buy Brigador on sale cheap
>So long ago, don't even know how long
>Read lore, love lore
>Listen to music, love music
>Play game, love game
>Deathmachine McMegaNob has gone through several evolutions to become the apex predator he is
> Only at lvl 6 though
>TLDR: awesome game, but it still falls out of normal playlist after a while.
>New update.
>Oh? What does it do?
>Adds horns
>Intrigued. Fire up control panel and ascend into cockpit of Deathmachine McMegaNob.
>Enter battle.
>Kill all who stand before me.
>Engage horn
>Deathmachine McMegaNob can now signal his contempt for defeated opponents and inspire fear in yellow jacket peasantry
>Didn't even know this was something necessary
>If dev removes horns now though?
>Literally unplayable.

Five minutes into the second battle of the campaign, and I launch an attack and annhilate the futile defenders of a trench line.

Then they came. And we killed them. More of them came, and we killed them too.

Then more of them came this time with tanks, and we killed those too.

Now, somewhere in there, one of my men took a explosive something or other to the face, wiping him and two others out.

Still they came, and still we killed them.

Two hours later, it was dinner time. I saved and shut down the computer and ate dinner.

I ate dinner and resumed the slaughter.

Three hours later, after slaughtering the better part of three divisions of men, I gave up in frustration.

I was still in the same goat hole trench.

Would hold the line again.

When my buddy told me to get this, I thought he was nuts. I'm primarily a combat/hardcore tactics and strategy gamer, BUT, I got it anyways, figuring I'd humor him and badger him for something else if it didn't work out. But in any case, I fired up the game that night, and much to my surprise, the game is well made, very beautiful, even if it does look rather cartoony. It's got a bit of gore in it, as you either shoot enemies until they die, stab them, blow them up with beam spells, fry them, or any other rather nasty way to bite it that I didn't yet mention.

One thing I did notice as I was playing the main adventure, is that the whole experience is geared towards co-op gaming. The first major story boss, this large green snake, was rather tough to beat, only because I didn't have someone healing me as I was tossed across the map.

Another thing to notice about the game is the references. ALL OF THE REFERENCES. That's another element that I love about this game, is the tounge-in-cheek attitude about going around and causing magical mayhem.

Another item is the customization. It's not 'you are the blue link', its..."Hmm, what do I feel like kicking butt in today? Oh, I don't know, but I do know THIS time its' not going to be pink..."

If you have friends on Steam, get the four pack, and tell them to get the DLCs, or get it for them because you're a nice person.

Bottom line: Highly recommended, DLC's are a must have. Adds variety and useful upgrades and differing abilities to the group. And don't game alone.
